Anyone find it strang that Kermit the Frog was both the star character of the Muppets and was also on Seasme Street?
Those two worlds were so different, you never saw Miss Piggey or Gonzo or Fozzy, etc. appear on Seasme Street. But Kermit was a ficture of both worlds.

Sesame Street characters did make appearances on some Muppet specials, but the Muppets never made it out to Sesame Street.
Also, it's strange that Kermit was the star of the Muppet Show, but was just a supporting character on Sesame Street. Maybe he had a bigger role when the show first debuted, but by the time I started watching, he pretty much took a backseat to Big Bird, Bert and Ernie.

We take you now to Kermit the Frog with another fast breaking news story.
I grew up in an era where that was mostly Kermit's involvement on Sesame Street.

Kermit was all about some Sesame Street. What's more odd to me is that people associate Seasame Street more with Elmo and Chloe than Kermit. Elmo was the one who *was* a mere support character.

Yeah, I'm still not happy with Elmo's SuperCena push from the last few years, when Grover was already there and so much better at the "cute" thing while offering comedy and emotion. Elmo is one-dimensional fluff. You know, I always noticed that Kermit was on both, but I never realized he was the only one who crossed over. That's just crazy talk.

Kermit had a good run in Sesame Street but they were just not using him to his full potential. He eventually jumped over to the Muppets and got his monster push.(although the other muppets would have to job to him)

In the latinoamerican version gonzo and the cookie monster made some appearences I think I heard once that Big Bird's Mexican counterpart came to US Sesame Street once before. Basically, think Big Bird if he was a parrot insted of a canary.

That is just like the Street, they are always keeping the blue muppet down! Look what they did to Cookie Monster!

I always wanted a Muppet 1 News broadcast about Snuffy killing and eating Big Bird. More than one person has accused me of being morbid because of it.
