I live near the birthplace of Bill Monroe and while his style does nothing for me, I'm always surprised at the turnout every year for the Jerusalem Ridge festival.
People from all over the world seem to flock here, and while I've never been out there to meet them, I don't doubt the people that tell me, I'm just shocked to be so close to something so big.
So I wanted to ask anyone from other countries, is Bluegrass music a really big thing there? I know not everyone is into it, I just wondered about its appeal.
Has anyone here considered coming over to America strictly for the chance to come to the festival?

I live in a town that has an annual Country Music festival where Tamworth's population goes from 40-45 thousand to about 65-70 thousand for 10 days so I kind of know what's going on there, Yeah I guess bluegrass is kind of a big thing.
