I wouldn't call someone who has been a fan of a team for 12-13 years a fake fan. Especially when said fan was like 9 when he became a fan. I mean I became a Broncos fan when they won their first Super Bowl, but I've been a fan ever since and still stick around even through our s***ty years and recent streak of seasons where we would just self destruct. Would you call me a fake fan? It's more like the "I quit" and the "1998-2011" on his avatar that pissed me off. Look I've been watching since I was 7. I started the same year he did. We both likely had the same experience but I stuck around and never considered quitting. He should be proud of his team not knocking it after a 6 game improvement. Dude, relax. I make hasty statements, especially when it comes to my sports teams. After I eat massive crow at work tomorrow (I work with 2 Seahawks fans) I'll get over it. Hell, the only football memorabilia I own is all Rams related, and there's no way I'm getting rid of any of that. If I didn't desert the Rams after 1-15 and having no ownership, do you really think I'd leave now. I've calmed down. I'm over it. It sucks. There's always next season. Everything that could have been done to win was done. The Rams weren't screwed, they were just the lesser team tonight.

I just wanna see the Eagles vs. Falcons, the Bird Bowl. I just want to see Vick's return to Atlanta. Outside of that, I don't really have a desired outcome, except I want the Patriots to lose. I'll never get over SuperBowl 38. I want the Patriots to lose and lose badly.

New England lost the Super Bowl three years ago. 18-1 record that will show that the 07 Patriots were the worst best team of all time.

Maybe its just me but I don't see New England even getting to the Super Bowl. I know that everything they've done says that they will but I'm calling for one of these teams to bite them on the ass. Maybe it'll be a fluke game but I've got them going down in the AFC Championship, especially if they're playing the Steelers.
I expect the NFC to come down to Philly vs. Atlanta in Atlanta. Vick's return to his original team and trying to get to the SB is like a movie storyline right there. It'll all come down to whether the Eagles can protect him or not.

I hope to God that the Pats* those cheating bastards lose in the second round. I also hope the Steelers those cheating bastards lose in the second round. Both franchises are the epitome of douche baggary. I really am pulling for the Ravens, Chiefs, or Colts to come out the AFC but since two play each other round 1 its looking like a team I will hate will come out of the AFC (Also despise the Jets but not for cheating just general douche baggary).
NFC is a little more likable as I only hate the Eagles and the Saints. But the Bears, Packers, Seahawks, and Falcons are very likable. I really just hope the Steelers, Pats*, or Jets don't come out of the AFC or the Eagles or Saints don't come out the NFC.

First off, that was an amazingly ugly game between the Seahawks and the Rams. No one won that game. The Rams out-lost the Seahawks. Pathetic performance by both teams and I'm somewhat disgusted that one of these teams got a playoff berth because everyone sucked just a bit more in their division. After tonight's game, I'd be really surprised if the Saints do anything but steamroll the Seahawks. Seattle's defense is still abysmal, despite the Rams doing their best to make it look halfway competent. And while the Saints aren't a great defensive team, I think they can handle Charlie Whitehurst or Matt Hasselbeck.
Also, probably no surprise to anyone at this point, but Coughlin's staying in New York. Jim Mara himself confirmed it.
I really hope we do something about special teams. I think that was our biggest weakness after the absurd amount of turnovers the offense gave up. I have a feeling the G-Men will be looking for a new QB coach to try and get Eli to throw less funballs. Maybe new offensive coaches to work with the RB's and WR's butterfingers. While Eli threw a LOT of picks this year that were completely his fault, he also had the bad luck of throwing to a receiving core that had no idea how to make catches that weren't direct lasers to them. That's not on Eli. Wide Receivers should be able to make those catches.
As far as player cuts go, I say outside of Tynes (who had an amazingly good season IMO; easily his best), cleanse Special Teams with fire. Get Matt Dodge out of uh, Dodge. I could probably be a better punter than him. I'd also make some changes with the Offensive Line. They're getting up there in age and it shows. Mackenzie and O'Hara (whose election to the Pro Bowl still mystifies me) need to go. Seubert probably needs to go, too, even though he had a decent year. Move Diehl over to Guard and get fresh blood for Tackles and Center.
And while I like the guy, something needs to be done about Kevin Boss. He's too much Jekyll and Hyde.

Move Diehl over to Guard and get fresh blood for Tackles and Center. And while I like the guy, something needs to be done about Kevin Boss. He's too much Jekyll and Hyde. The first thing that really immediately the red flag on special teams was the loss of Domenik Hixon. Sure, he'd be about sixth on the depth chart of the receiving corps, but as a return specialist, he was the best the Giants had since Tiki Barber and David Meggett... or at least Willie Ponder and Ron Dixon anyway. The dreck they trotted out there amounted to very little. Especially Darius Reynaud. That guy is a pile of suck. Even when you get past Matt Dodge and his... shortcomngs, the return unit couldn't block and the coverage unit couldn't make a decent tackle (As referenced to Dez Bryant and that little 5'10, 180lb piece of trash effortlessly returning TDs.) to save their lives. A complete overhaul is in order. Maybe the Giants won't wait until the damn seventh round to draft a punter. I could see Eli having problems with his receivers had this been 2009, but there's no way that Manningham & Nicks should've had this much miscommunication with their QB. Blown routes and tipped passes accounted to at least half of Eli's interception output. The other half was by way of gunslingerdom. Not sure the Giants have so much depth on the offensive line that O'Hara, McKenzie and Seubert would be given their walking papers. At the very least, I think Beatty would be ready to take either spot at tackle and McKenzie should be kept as he made every start this sseason. Boss is about as inconsistent as anyone else on the Giants offense, but at least he has a valid excuse as he's been taking all types of hits ever since his NFL career began. Next season, I don't think the Giants should have a 'starting' runningback, so to speak. It's clear that both Jacobs and Bradshaw were trying to outshine the other for more carries and fizzled out over the last three games when they were needed the most. I'd make an attempt at putting a third running back to balance out of the extremes of both Jacobs and Bradshaw. In fact, Ware wouldn't be the worst option in the world. Finally, Gilbride's got to go. Obviously the players play the games, but his calls just leave many a Giants' fan's head scratching. Oh, yeah, and 42 turnovers on his watch... so...

As a St. Louis guy. I'm not that dispointed that the Rams lost. Because this season they did way more then anybody could have expected. Even though I did predicted they be a .500 team which they almost did.
Next year they could be pretty dangerious. Bradford will have a season under his belt. He got a lot to learn but he will get there. For what he did in his first year was impressive enough. Now I look to the next year. There going to have Avery and Clayton back. Add them with the WR they had most of the season they could be a threat or get a Big play threat WR and a TE. The offence can be good.
Bradford needs to get better in the redzone go for more TDs and not field goals. He got work on not looking right at the WR he going to throw at the whole time. That all rookie mistakes to learn from.

That game last night was easily the worst football game I have ever witnessed. The fact that those 2 teams were playing for their lives makes it absolutely disgusting. Neither of them had any right being in the playoffs A re-post of my predictions for next week. Predictions for next week: AFC Indy (3) vs Jets (6) Jets are a fraud and everyone knows it. Indy has looked human, but when in doubt, go with Manning. (typing that killed me) Winner: Indy 31-20 Baltimore (4) vs KC (5) Baltimore is terrific, but there's something spunky about KC. Homefield will help them as well. KC in an upset. Winner: KC 24-21 NFC Philly (3) vs Green Bay (6) This game is an absolute toss up, IMO. Philly has looked invincible at times, and very beatable at others. Green Bay has been the tale of 2 teams as well over the last month. When in doubt, Andy Reid will screw over over when it matters. Winner: Packers 30-24 NFC West winner (4) vs New Orleans (5) To be blunt, whoever wins the NFC West has no business being in the playoffs. The Saints roll easily. Winner: New Orleans 38-10

division winners have to get playoff spots. Otherwise there is no point to having divisions. That said I could see a rule made where home field is given according to record period.
