I really loathe the Rooney Rule. I know it's based on good intentions, but it always seems to me like it would have the opposite effect. If the Cowboys want to keep Jason Garrett, they shouldn't have to put on a charade of an interview with a minority candidate who has no chance from the jump.
What's really bad is Dallas can't hire Garrett without going through this charade, but the Vikings can go ahead and hire Frazier with no interview process whatsoever.

First, let me just say I abhor the Rooney Rule. It needs to go away. I think if anything it institutionalizes racism by forcing a GM to interview a token minority coach who they aren't even considering otherwise.
I imagine in this day and age, most NFL team GM's and owners will hire a coach based on his skills and personality, not his race.
