I don't really know what I think of it, to be honest. I was all right with him just wearing the garb for a while and just acting like a buffoon. However, with this recent, apparent name change he's gone under, is this cemented as his new gimmick?
Are they trying to recreate King Booker with someone far less charismatic? Sheamus might be more believable as a king, and the "High King of Ireland" branding might work for a limited stretch of time.
Do you think that this is a necessity, for a guy that was quite frequently floating around as an upper midcard guy without any real place or feud to have a noteworthy and ridiculous gimmick to get over?
Will this last beyond the inevitable clash of "kings" in Triple H? Is this whole thing just one big segue into a Triple H feud?
Lots of questions proposed here, but really it comes down to this: do you like this gimmick and its place as his new persona?

His outfit looks cheap and he really didn't need a gimmick if it was just going to be him in a Halloween costume getting beat by Morrison.

It's fantastic and WWE needs more colorful, over-the-top gimmicks like this. It's infinitely more entertaining than watching a bunch of bland bodybuilders in trunks doing endless variations on the "tough badass" and "cocky, arrogant douchebag" personas.

I actually really like them calling him "King Sheamus." It's not like his gimmick changed, he got a robe and a crown. "Too Many Limes" hasn't been replaced with a royal anthem. If it does, then you can hit the panic button. As it stands, it's probably all so we can get King Sheamus vs "the King of Kings" Triple H in a Winner Becomes King match at WrestleMania. And by winner becomes King, I mean, he becomes KING of WWE. Those burials we've been talking about will be nothing compared to the be-headings. {Spoiler}Spoiler: Triple H Wins.

Hate it. He looks ridiculous, it's clearly just leading to him being fed to Triple H, and the kingly gimmick is never good anyway.

I like it because he has his own spin on it. I'd like to see him play up the High Kings of Ireland thing a bit more. I'm glad he lost the red devil crown for the newer gold one, though.

Not a big fan of it. He's no king booker, and Sheamus shouldn't have a goofy gimmick. He should be destroying fools and ending careers.
That said, I do expect it to culminate in a brutal feud with HHH, and then hopefully it goes away.

Sheamus is, and has been, awesome for some time now; his hilariously incredible crown and friendship with Punk just confirms it.

He needs to tell more stories like his Crimson Hand of Ireland before his match with Khali. ;p

King Sheamus loves to job. That's really all I've gathered from it so far.

Take off the silly robe and crown and ok.
King Sheamus has a nice ring to it honestly.
