I thought for that, if John Cena had a beating last week, he will come to the ring with a smile in his face and make jokes. At the last minutes of the night, he comes to the ring and says "If you want some, come get some" He waits for his opponent, he doesn't came and he says "If he doesn't wanna come and fight, I will find him!" And he can't leave from the ring.
WHY SO BORING?

Isn't the E as a whole predictable?

Faces tend to be predictable. Repetition works; look at Austin, the Rock, Hogan: their schtick was limited but it worked. Hell, Austin had t-shirts that pretty much said what he'd do: show up, hit the stunner, drink beer, etc.

Isn't the E as a whole predictable? It hasn't been all that much lately. If you told me last year that Miz would be the WWE champ, Kane would get a 6 month title reign and that a faction full of rookies would dominate Raw for a while, with one of those rookies pinning Cena. I wouldn't have believed you. To the topic at hand, Flair was once asked why he always did the same moves/routine in his matches, to which his reply was "the fans come out to see me do that routine, if I didn't do it, they'd be disappointed". To the majority of the fans, Cena's gimmick is likeable, even if it's predictable. Why change a good thing?

I agree with the fact that Cena is predictable, hell he has been doing more or less the exact same thing since 2005. Maybe that's a good thing for the kids or whatever, but as an adult it just makes me not care about his angles. I'm actually enjoying this angle with Punk though for 2 reasons.
1.) Punk's my favorite in the company and has been for a few years now.
2.) Cena has yet to get the upper hand.
I'm totally fine with Cena winning this feud, but Punk needs to get as many victories over Cena outside the ring as possible. If they drag it out to Mania and book it as Cena's chance to FINALLY get revenge on Punk, I'll be happy. Cena shouldn't pin Punk at all leading up to the match though, and I'm assuming that's why Nexus is there.

Why change a good thing? the thing is right now the WWE is being predictable based on WHO are doing things, not WHAT they're doing. Once you know a guys catchphrases, ring work, etc. you have a pretty good idea what to expect on how their matches will be setup and how they'll go down.

Cena is secretly a robot. He can only act the way he was programmed to.

Personally I think Cena could've easily just fired back with all the @#$#y things CM Punk has done in his career. Heck, didn't Punk win an *award* for being a bastard?

Most WWE fans go to the shows to see their favorite guys do the things they do.

I think the difference would be, Punk gladly admits he does things that "wrong" in the name of being straight edge. He doesn't feel like he's done anything wrong. Cena is portrayed as the moral right, but does things that are heelish.
