While I think he deserves it, I'm surprised Brady got EVERY vote.
Also, GO PACKERS!

To the surprise of no one: @thejetsstream: #Patriots QB Tom Brady has been named the Associated Press NFL MVP. Unanimous winner (50 votes). \ Unanimous? How often does that happen? I got the Packers, but so does everyone else, meaning the Steelers will probably win.

what is going to win it for Green Bay is defense. They MUST get to Rothlisberger early and often. The secondary's coverage of Pittsburgh's receivers MUST be simply flawless (sorry, McCool). Rothlisberger may be the master at quick passes, but if Woodson and company are covering properly, there won't be that many opportunites for a swift long bomb as he is so capable of doing. I will be surprised if he throws for over 300 yards in this game. I also will be surprised if Mendenhall runs for more than 75 yards.
Green Bay 28 Pittsburgh 27
I think it will come down to the wire, and Rothlisberger is going to drives the Steelers pretty damn close to the end zone towards the end of the game, but the Packers, in 3 of their last 4 games, have come up with that crucial interception to ultimately deny their opponents the win, and in this game, I think Clay Matthews gets that crucial pick, along with some well-timed tackles and maybe a sack or two, and at the end of the day, he'll be the MVP.

I've been invited by an American friend to watch the match in a bar here in Sheffield. Never watched a game of American Football so its gonna be interested. We have agreed on getting a giant plate of chicken wings and lots of beer though so should be a good night.

Honestly, this game is too close to tell. I am just glad this game is between two of the classiest and most respected organizations in the NFL. I know a lot of people hate the Steelers (I remember that can't stand the Steelers thread on these boards) but it's not an accident that the Steelers are consistently near the top of the NFL standings.
Plus, the Packers have an amazing history of their own, and a QB that I think along with Ben is one of the greatest in the NFL. If the Steelers weren't in this Super Bowl, I'd be rooting hard for Green Bay. They are the NFC team I respect the most. They are essentially the Steelers of the NFC to me. Great fan base, nationally known and respected. It truly is an honor to get the chance to see this Super Bowl. I hope it lives up to the great hype. (and the Steelers win, of course.)

What are my fellow Crappers doing for the Superbowl? i'll probaly catch the start of it while i'm working in the barn, then i'll go in and make stuffing, french fries, and chili cheese chip dip and watch the rest and go completely hoarse before the game ends and then i'll make signs for SD tapings in Green Bay on Tuesday.

I got to ask those that aren't Steelers or Packers fans this: how much pre-game are you watching today? Personally, I might only watch a half hour before the game because at this point there's just nothing left to discuss. Depends on what the folks at the party I'm going to want to do. We'd probably play on the X-Box if it gets too boring though. [/Jets & Giants fans at said party that are rooting for the Packers]

So when Pittsburgh wins, will rage flood the interwebs? Nah, much as I'd love for my Packers to win, pitchers and catchers start reporting next week. I'll focus on the White Sox future instead of a "what could have been" for the Green Bay faithful. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I really want GB to win, but I just know that the Steelers are walking away with #7.

The only reason I wanna see the Pack win is because of AJ Hawk. Was a HUGE fan of his when he played with OSU.

Steelers-28 Packers-21 MVP: James Harrison
I think everyone is overrating Rodgers a bit, he's good but not 2010 NFC division game good.
P.S. Since Big Ben is the rival QB, almost everyone HAS to root against the Steelers. I can't wait to watch the crappy commercials they've spent millions of dollars on.

This game provides a fascinating match up. Not since Super Bowl XXXVII has the game appeared so even from the outset. However, with Super Bowl XXXVII, the league's top defense obliterated the league's top offense and turned what could have been a close game into a laughingstock midway through the third quarter.
I don't expect that tonight. These two teams seem almost perfectly matched up. However, I always have that fear that when two evenly matched teams square off, for one reason or another, the game never lives up to the hype.
Tonight should live up to the hype. It's as close as it gets across the board: Aaron Rodgers vs. the Pittsburgh secondary, Ben Roethlisberger vs. the Green Bay secondary, Rashard Mendenhall vs. B.J. Raji, Roethlisberger vs. Clay Matthews, Rodgers vs. James Harrison and Lamarr Woodley, the list just goes on and on.
Last year, I said I wanted at least two out of the three things: a good game, a good halftime show and good commercials. I felt that we got two out of the three (the commercials were the lone exception). This year, I know the halftime show won't pose much interest to me, so the game is being called on more than ever to be memorable. When the game stinks and the halftime show stinks, you end up with three wasted hours (I'm looking at you, Super Bowl XLI). I really expect a great game tonight, and for the first time in a very long time, I have absolutely no idea who will be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy tonight.
PREDICTION:
Pittsburgh Steelers - 24 Green Bay Packers - 28

So when Pittsburgh wins, will rage flood the interwebs? I doubt it, unless there's some really bad calls or something. I mean even good officials get nervous in big games and could cost either team a big play on a bad call. As for my pick, I'm going with Green Bay, but they have to score early. The score will be 24/22. The score will be 19/17 Steelers, GB gets big stop, Steeler have to kick a FG, Packers with a minute or so left go down the field and get the game winning TD with a couple seconds left.
