In all seriousness, though, I really wish you guys had let me in on the plan, I mean, I do have FOUR guys in the group, a bit of information could've helped.

Well, if you'd wanted Anderson to be part of the end of The Chosen, you should've said something a while ago. Because we do plan things in advance, you know. Or at least try to. For example, I had Shawn Michaels' match against Chris Jericho and retirement set up well before Nexus even began. That's probably a special case, but we do typically try to have at least a storyboard for how we want things to go, so to speak.

AJ Styles is backstage, head bowed, hood of his ring jacket covering his face.
I'm known by a lot of names in this business.
The Phenomenal One.
Mr. TNA.
The New Phenom.
The Most Decorated Man in TNA.
Air Styles
You see, I've been here since TNA began. Nine years. I've seen everyone who's ever been in this company. From legends to talentless losers and everywhere in between. I've seen friends come and go, and I've seen enemies succeed. I've seen a lot of guys come from up north or come out of retirement and virtually take over here, all because management is oh so desperate for those Nielson numbers. The short version is, I've seen everything and everyone that's ever come through TNA.
Let's look at my opponents.
Brutus Magnus. The former champion. The man who I won the belt from eneding his 13 month reign. One heel of a comepetitor who was king of the mountain last year. A man who I straight up hate.
Mr Anderson. A brash loudmouth jerk. And our current Legends champion. I guess I should give him credit for holding that belt for so long. Doesn't change the fact that he's an arrogant jackass.
Abyss. A monster, a man who has, in the past, delighted in beating the living hell out of me. It seems he's found some semplance of peace. But I just hope Val can console him after tonight.
And finally Samoa Joe. A man who I've known for a long time. And who I've faced across the ring more times than I care to count. And you've won some, I've won some. We've both been King of the Mountain. Tonight is just another chapter in a long rivalry that has lasted years. You want keep your title just as much as I want to win it. I understamnd that. But there is something I don't understand.
You want me to step aside, Joe? Why exactly should I? I'll step aside when I feel ready, Joe. Not before. I'm not afraid of goving up my spot. But I can't go yet. There are still too many things I need to do. Like tonight, when I become the first man to win King of the Mountain two years in a row.
Tonight is just another chapter in the Era of Phenomenal. When I climb that ladder and hang the belt. And the words ring out "Here is your winner and NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles!"
That will be...Phenomenal

Fair enough, but I didn't know ANYTHING about what was going on, I'm a bit hurt. To be brutally honest that's been the whole problem of the Chosen angle from the start.

I honestly forgot what this felt like. Walking in to a King of the Mountain as the champion. Everything to lose against four guys with everything to gain.
I'm gonna keep this short, because I'm gonna let my actions out there speak for me tonight. That's the best way to make sure I keep this belt, by showing every single one of those guys stepping into the ring with me tonight why I deserve to hold that belt more than all of them combined.
A.J. Styles...I made my TNA career by beating you. Especially by beating you when everything's on the line and the lights are bright. Tonight's gonna be no different.
Anderson...Anderson...Anderson. The only reason you're going after my title is because no one gives a damn about you enough to go after your own. But don't worry, Kenny, I'm not gonna be stupid. I'll give you enough attention to kick your head in, break your neck, choke you out, or put you down one of the other 97 ways I can.
Abyss...this kind of thing is right up your alley, despite what someone else might think. Beat a guy down then lock him in a cage, and take what's his. That sure sounds to me like something The Monster could get behind. But I beat you to win this belt, and I'm gonna beat you to keep it.
And the one I'm saving for last...Magnus. You're trying to make your big comeback. Beat the big man in the big match and take the title back, then keep it for another year. Yeah, yeah. Your time's done, man. That's why after your epic thirteen month title reign, what have you done? NOTHING. All you did was be the guy in the center of the world's greatest fluke. And you're gonna learn that tonight, just like everyone else, that there is only one true fact, only one constant in TNA Wrestling...
Joe is gonna kill you.
Because this title is going nowhere. The champ is here, and the champ is here to stay. See you boys in the ring. Don't make any plans for the rest of the week, either. You're gonna be spending it in a hospital. And that's if you're lucky.

Tenay: It's time, ladies and gentlemen, the TNA title on the line in the King of the Mountain match next. West: And I gotta say Joe is in a good position here. The last three TNA Champions to defend their titles in King of the Mountain have retained. Tenay: Including Joe himself. West: But it is of course easier said than done. Tenay: Well let's throw it to JB.
JB: The following contest is the King of the Mountain match for the TNA World Heavyweight Division Championship!
JB: Introducing the challengers, first, from Green Bay, Wisconson, weighing 243 pounds, he is the TNA Legends Champion, Mr Anderson!
JB: From London, England, weighing 240 pounds, Brutus Magnus!
JB: Weighing 350 pounds, "The Monster" Abyss!
JB: From Gainesville, Georgia, weighing 215 pounds, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles!
JB: And from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 280 pounds, he is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe!
3 votes makes someone elgible to climb the ladder. When somebody becomes elgible to climb, the person who got voted against must stay in the plenty box for five minutes. Anyone in the plenty box cannot be voted for. Members can vote again five minutes after a previous vote. Another 3 votes are needed to win the match after someone becomes elgible to climb.

Lack of communication all round really. Mainly, if not all, my fault, I will conceed. It made the Chosen comes across as a group in name only, a bunch of guys who were all doing their own thing. That's why I want to pull the plug on it. Because I dropped the ball entirely.
