so I've noticed that ever since Santino beat Sheamus they've been pushing him as a more serious competitor and not just a comedy jobber

I disagree. He didn't beat Sheamus without help, and his finisher is still the Cobra.

Yes he's not a comedy jobber he's a comedy winner now.

Maybe they realized that he actually is pretty solid in the ring. And over with the crowd. Kind of silly not to take advantage of both.

In the past three weeks since he and Kozlov won the tag titles, he has had more airtime than the Hart Dynasty did in the five months they where tag champs

In the past three weeks since he and Kozlov won the tag titles, he has had more airtime than the Hart Dynasty did in the five months they where tag champs Of course, that has something to do with the fact that both Santino and Kozlov by themselves are more over than the Hart Dynasty combined ever were.

They aren't. He's a comedy act that beats up people the WWE doesn't care about so that people are happy.
He's a fun character that probably won't even get a US title run. I wouldn't be surprised if he's drafted to Smackdown for comedy segments with Hornswoggle.

Yes he's not a comedy jobber he's a comedy winner now. This. He's also still the most underrated talent in WWE, by far.

Not as long as he's 'Cobra-ing' people. Which is fine, as he's found a nice lil niche. He gets tv time, the crowd always reacts for him etc. Will he ever be a main eventer? Can't imagine it, but he's in a great spot on the shows.

I laugh everytime someone posts something saying Santino is either going to be a main event star or being pushed to be something big. I'm sorry but he is going to forever be the comedy guy of the WWE. I mean how can anyone take someone seriously after being *cough* Santina *cough*

What matters to Santino is that he's pretty well guaranteed longterm employment with WWE and is Hall of Fame worthy down the road. He is that good and WWE knows it. Sure the WWE title would be good... but I'm sure he realizes how fortunate he is that he fits into a niche that is VERY difficult for 99% of WWE superstars to fill and have success with.

Face or heel I'd say he'll always be a comedy wrestler

While we're on this topic,is Kozlov hurt? Santino teamed with Tamina last week, wrestled a singles match on Smackdown, and wrestles a singles match again tonight. Maybe it's been brought up and I missed it(I'm good at missing things) but I was just wondering if anyone knew the reason.

If he does stay long term, I could see him being a high card heel near the twilight of his career for some reason.

Yes he's not a comedy jobber he's a comedy winner now. This. He's also still the most underrated talent in WWE, by far. this, the dude is a legit bad ass. If they put the roster in a line according to who can shoot fight and legit kick the crap out of the other guys. Santino would be near the high end of that line. I find him funny but it does kind of bug me that they slapped a fake accent and a unibrow on the guy and made him a joke. here's a bit of his background Anthony Carelli Shodan Feb 18th 1990 Competitor, Sensei 4x Jr Canadian Champ (G & 3S) USA Jr Champ (B)

Not everyone should be World Champ.
Santino is over, he's allowed to be competitive, he's funny and he helps other wrestlers get over. That's the perfect role for him: Mid Card Act who can step up when required but isn't expected to carry the company. He's likely content with his lot, with employment for years to come because he's tight with Randy Orton.

I don't care what rational they have, as long as they keep putting him on TV and keep him winning I'm happy!
