No. Just because he is holding a belt, doesn't mean he is serious.
Eric Young is the TNA World Champion and he is comedic.

I'll never be able to take Santino SRSly. The polar opposite of Lance Storm who you can only take SRSly.

Its weird how things have turned out for him he used to never win a match but now I can't remember the last time he lost (Survivor Series maybe?).
And I love it! Santino is entertaining so why not push him?

He's not SRS. The other week he was playing a ukelele, and last week Tamina was standing on his back.
I still hate Santino, by the way.

If he has a long break and comes back as Anthony Carrelli from Canada I will be shocked.

WWE seem to be running out of faces on Raw especially in the upper regions of the card, even Lawler is filling that role at the moment. They have Cena (busy with Nexus), Orton (after the title), Morrison (possibly don't trust in the main event) and Daniel Bryan (who is still being built up and is United States champion). After that only Santino, Kozlov and Mark Henry regularly appear.
They need more faces, if one of the four I mentioned get injured they're in trouble. Santino is the most over so it makes sense to make him more credible so they can use him if necessary. He may never be a regular main eventer but he could easily be in mini-feuds and can slot into Raws main events when there's something like a six man tag at the end.

In the past three weeks since he and Kozlov won the tag titles, he has had more airtime than the Hart Dynasty did in the five months they where tag champs Of course, that has something to do with the fact that both Santino and Kozlov by themselves are more over than the Hart Dynasty combined ever were. I'm not trying to act like an expert on this exact situation, I read WWE results and this board though I haven't actually watched in some time, but I always feel the argument that wrestler A deserves more air time than wrestler B because they are more over was lacking. Sometimes wrestler A is more over BECAUSE they get more air time and storyline development. Again, I'm not very familiar with this exact situation so it may not apply here. Just saying.

No he's not serious. I mean, just watch the start of his match on RAW against Ted DiBiase. He goes after him by doing superkicks only to get punched because he miscalculated his kicks. Don't get me wrong, I really loved it and I was laughing, but anybody doing that can't get taken seriously. Of course, that has something to do with the fact that both Santino and Kozlov by themselves are more over than the Hart Dynasty combined ever were. I think that the Hart Dynasty has nobody else to blame than themselves for their lack of overness. Just look at their entrance, it tooks them months to understand that when you come to the ring you have to ackowledge your crowd, give them a reason for them to cheer for you. When they started out, they were going to the ring on a straight line, always looking in front of theirselves with a blank stare. The only emotion they showed was when they were lifting Natalya on the apron of the ring. After having seen a match from the HD, you have seen them all. They were good wrestler, but far from good worker. No. Just because he is holding a belt, doesn't mean he is serious. Eric Young is the TNA World Champion and he is comedic. Holy s***, Young is the TNA World Champion? I haven't watched in month I will try to watch the next episode.

He has a great talent for comedy. And he is solid in the ring as well. Natural result. They as a team are massively over, and I hope they get a great reign as tag champions.

To me, its pushing him as credible, yet still funny. It could work, I've seen funny, yet able wrestlers in the past. But its harder with Santino since he was once a major jobber and his now-finisher was once considered unhittable and weak.
Come to think of it, did he even have a finisher before Cobra? I don't rememember any

I still hate Santino, by the way. Do you also hate puppies, rainbows and happiness? Anyway, my prediction in the "surprise of 2011" thread was that Santino would become a legit upper mid-carder. Standing by that.

While we're on this topic,is Kozlov hurt? Santino teamed with Tamina last week, wrestled a singles match on Smackdown, and wrestles a singles match again tonight. Maybe it's been brought up and I missed it(I'm good at missing things) but I was just wondering if anyone knew the reason. Kozlov was on the live Smackdown getting a kiss from Beth last week. However, I basically thought the same thing. Santino has been on TV with Tamina a helluva lot more than with his PARTNER, the CO-HOLDER OF THE TAG TITLES, Kozlov. WTF To me, its pushing him as credible, yet still funny. It could work, I've seen funny, yet able wrestlers in the past. But its harder with Santino since he was once a major jobber and his now-finisher was once considered unhittable and weak. Come to think of it, did he even have a finisher before Cobra? I don't rememember any honestly, nope Wasn't he using the diving headbutt salute as a finisher?

No, he isn't Jeff Hardy is with a terrible custom belt. Eric Young found the old title in the Garbage and has been carrying it around. Oh, like the Jim Duggan/TV Title angle back in WCW? Is he defending it? Absolutely he is defending it. When he was in a tag match with Orlando Jordan as his partner facing Generation Me, he announced he was defending his title in a battle royal. He then proceeded to toss both members of Generation Me, his partner Orlando Jordan, and the ref out of the ring. Because he is a fighting champion. He is the REAL TNA champ to me.
