Play up his "barenuckle boxing" background and have him do the Wasteland ---> AKI Man's strong punches. It makes me SO happy whenever I see you guys refer to a move as it was listed in a THQ wrestling game.

For those saying they expect MVP in TNA...
I've heard that he actually wants to do Japan first.
Of course if he does go to TNA it wouldn't be his first time.
I would post a video, but I don't know if TNA clips fall under the same rule as WWE clips.

I felt like he'd stick around. Be a mainstay.
But it just goes to show that everyone from that "Generation" of WWE stars seemed to fail. Him, Kennedy, Carlito, Muhammad Hassan, Umaga even...Very, very, very talented guys that you assumed WWE expected to be the "Faces" of the E Today..and not so much. And now ya do got this youth movement, where a great deal of the roster is stepping up..Why not eradicate the "Lost Generation"?

It feels like once Cena, Orton, Edge, Batista, and Rey rose to the top, everyone else got edged out for one reason or another. Add Lashley and Masters to the list. At least part of it is that that generation got hit with the new drug testing right as they were on the way up. I think many of them would have stuck around and made it if their pushes hadn't been derailed.

Will he be on Smackdown tonight? WWE seems to be yoyoing on the Smackdown releases, Sometimes they announce it before Smackdown, sometimes after.

Then he and Kaval get annihilated by Kane.

I've heard that he actually wants to do Japan first. I don't think he can enter Japan. On another note, when he starts on the indies will he wrestle as Antonio Banks or try using Hassan Hamin Assad?

How about M. Portant as a non-WWE-ised name?

As far as being able to enter other countries goes, is that a life-long thing, or is there anything you can ever do to convince the country that you've turned around?

It is strange the amount of talent who who debuted in the mid 2000's that never really seemed to reach their full potential. People have mentioned Bobby Lashley, Mr. Kennedy, Carlito, Chris Masters, Umaga, Muhammad Hassan and MVP. But there are quite a few others: Eugene, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, MNM, Simon Dean, La Resistance and The Spirit Squad all come to mind as well. Interesting point.

I think I'm the only one who found it fitting that his first fued when he debuted was against Kane and in his final appearance he gets beat up by Kane. Still sad to see him go though.

I was going to mention this. Japan, as a nation, is a f***ing bitch when it comes to convicted felons from other countries. I really doubt he'd wind up there. As good as the guy is, though... I fully expect to see him in TNA.

Best for everyone involved. I looked at the list of SmackDown superstars listed to come to my hometown next month and showed my son. He would point at each name and not mention the names, but give his opinion on each. (He'd say, "Good. Boring. Boring. Good. He's good. Laycool's annoying", etc. When a 9-year old can point at your name (MVP) and say, "Never wins", you're not as over as you think. (When he does win, it's pretty forgettable as he loses 4 times to make up for that.) I wish him all the best and yadda yadda yadda, but I won't miss him in the least. I can't be the only one that wants to know who he finds good and who he finds boring. Just based on the Superstars slated to appear...(MVP's been removed.) Good: Kane, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, Edge. (He doesn't like Kane but admits he's good.) Boring: Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes. (He despises Dolph Ziggler. His favorite thing at the one show he went to was the crowd yelling "Dolph Ziggler sucks!") Annoying: Laycool, Jack Swagger. (Yet, he likes the Swagger Soaring Eagle. Go figure.) No real opinion: Kaval, Kelly Kelly. He's only 9. If you're reading into this, you're thinking way too hard. He doesn't remember MVP as a hot heel; his first exposure to wrestling was when MVP was on that really long losing streak where he "went broke". I don't fault him for that, I haven't really cared about MVP since then myself. His character was basically neutered when he turned face. He was basically the Jobber to the Up-And-Coming Heel Stars, save for a win here and there against Jack Swagger.

I'll take issue with a couple of the guys you have on that list (namely Morrison and Ziggler), but your point stands. It's amazing to look back at the number of guys who were seen as can't-miss prospects who ended up flaming out entirely. The two guys I guess that shocked me the most were Rene Dupree and Ken Doane. They were super young and seemed to have it all and it turned to nothing.

I'm a little ticked off, because I'm a huge MVP fan, but the writing's been on the wall for a long time. He didn't appear happy there, clearly, and they didn't seem to have any intention of using him in a capacity other than "guy who puts over heels in the midcard", so I guess it's a win/win.
