Possibly my favorite thing from wrestling as a whole in many years.

I love these sketches, but I also notice that this board makes a thread about this every few months celebrating its awesomeness

It's funny, I remember when it was happening and everyone was raging about how stupid it was, and TNA was just wasting everyone's time with it. I remember everybody loving it and looking forward to the new challenge every week.

It was awesome and it really helped out the X-Division. It brought in Austin Aries who was awesome. It spawned Black Machaismo, it gave a lot of personality to the current crop of X-Division stars, and it was dam funny.
I couldn't speak more highly of it when it happened and looking back it was really excellent. All in all the X-Division was greatly shaped by the PCS its just too bad that TNA screwed up with the Division over the last year +.
Russo also booking the division post PCS couldn't help either.

This whole thread looks like my heart after Nash broke it.

Was Sonjay Dutt on the juice? Was he on something? Kevin Nash certainly thought so.

I remember A LOT of people crapping on it at the time, but I don't think anyone had any idea of how far the x-division would fall in the years after. It was funny, but I would have much rather had all the guys in matches rather than stupid backstage segments.
Can anyone name a good match that came out of the PCS? The only thing that is sticking out to me is the Aries/Sabin ten minute time limit draw where they just tried to best each other to get into Nash's good graces.
One of my favorite parts of 2006 was Low-ki's run with the belt and Sabin turning heel, which led to a great match at BFG 06. Then came the PCS and the "warrior" meme, Sonjay on the Juice, and Lethal became Macho. It was funny for a good while, but I would've much rather seen all these guys in real feuds and matches instead of Nash playing court in the bathroom.
It did, however, show a glimpse of the greatness that is Chet Lemon in the booth.

It was the backdrop of the division not the focal point. There were other things going on in the division like Joe running with the X-Division title and other things. It was something that gave Jay Lethal, Shelly, Dutt, Aries, and Lo Ki a outlet. It spawned a lot of character for the Division. Its just they couldn't really follow it up with anything that built upon the foundation the PCS gave. If someone other then Russo booked the follow up it could have been a launching pad for the division. For a secondary element of the Division it was funny and helped establish a lot of guys. Its just too bad it wasn't followed up correctly.

^Ok I am going to commit an IWC cliche, but yes, I blame the booking regime of 07. I stopped watching for a good while in 07 just because of how different everything felt after BFG. Don't know if it was just Russo coming in or what, but everything just felt shallow and without direction in very late 06 into 07. Overall, maybe TNA 2007 just left a bad taste in my mouth.
During that time, there were some weeks that PCS skits were the only way to see the x-division at all. In my opinion, once it becomes the only vehicle to view these guys, it goes from being a backdrop to a focal point. It just felt like a way to mash all of them together and get them out of the way so TNA could have more time for Voodoo Kin Mafia promos, the Sting vs. Abyss feud and the seemingly never-ending Eric Young and Robert Roode saga. Like I said, in the beginning I thought it was funny and a good way to breath character into the x-division, and then it just started to grate on me.

"Wouldn't it be really inspirational if someone with gonorrhea won this competition?"
Greatest line in the greatest thing ever. It's a goddam crime they never released the rumored DVD of this.
