TNA is probably just considering the first show of 2011 as the "season premiere" of Impact/ReACTION. I dislike classifying wrestling programs as "seasons" when it never actually ends.

Season finale, not series. Looks like its just a best of show for the year.

Raw had a season finale too (and a season premiere the next week).
Yes, it's silly to arbitrarily assign seasons to something that runs new episodes all year.

Funnily enough, I do remember the announcers on the final WCW Nitro repeatedly referring to it as the "season finale".
Of course that's (hopefully) got nothing to do with this, it just came back to me after reading the thread.

I remember them also drafting in WCW commentators and wrestlers for WCW matches on Smackdown. I can also remember the audience booing them for it as well. I may be mistaken, but the idea of having WCW only PPV's replacing the less well received WWE ones also rings true. But a lot of time has passed, so I may be wrong about any or all of the above

I agree that this probably just means that the season finale will be one week and the season premier the next week, much like NXT has done. As I sit and think about it, I remember RAW talking about season finales before but I don't recall offhand the shows the next weeks being called season premiers. I wouldn't be overly surprised if ReAction does get cancelled eventually if it keeps losing half of the impact audience.

Eh, I honestly wouldn't miss it.
It was fun for a few episodes, but I want wrestling on my wrestling show.

We can thank UPN for putting one of the nails in the revival as well. Then again, after seeing WWECW, maybe it was for the best...unless Shane was truly going to be in charge. (On a side note, Shane and Marissa stayed at a resort I was working at the week after the Mania he had his match with Vince at. He had a hell of a shiner.)

It is sad, like, reaction looks really nice, and the way they do things backstage with interviews and stuff, but in the end, people are going to watch the wrestling, or stuff that leads to the wrestling.
The stage should be the ring, and the talking the set up for what is going to be on stage. Plus, too much talking ends up killing too much time for potentially building angles in the weeks to come. One critique I heard of the infamous 10/14/10 episode was that, everything that they said in the first half hour could have been built up overtime. They had the audience, but the viewers lost interest.
