Hey, no one's mentioned The Rock! He was just doing what his bosses told him to, and the fans started chanting for him to DIE. Not lose matches or titles, but to lose his life for being a nice guy. That's totally justified in turning.

Duggan's WCW heel turn. Yes, the Canada stuff that followed was stupid, but his reason for actually turning was absolutely justified. He had spent 15+ years being the loveable babyface, and had gone through a bad cancer scare. Then heel Goldberg attacks him and targets the organ that had been the cancer center, during all of which the fans are chanting "Goldberg"
Yeah, I woulda been pissed too.

Test during the Alliance. He was suspected and beaten for no reason by the APA when they suspected he was the mole. Then, they gave an half-assed apology to him, which led to him costing them the WWE tag titles and JR called him a "backstabber". Pretty sure a LOT of folks would have turned their backs on the fed at that time as well.

By kicking the crap outta him. He had a right to be pissed off.

Owen Hart turning on Bret at the Royal Rumble 1994. Bret should have tagged in a fresh Owen for the victory rather then trying to win the match all by himself and shoving himself directly into the spotlight again.
Owen was the face in this feud.

No, Hogan said if you wanted a title shot all you had to do was ask, plus, it was Heenan's brainwashing of Andre. If anything, Andre was just jealous that Hogan had the spotlight. In this very instant, Hogan was clearly the face in this one. Except I set all that aside, as stated above, and pointed to the real turning point: The awards ceremony for Andre that Hogan ruined and took over, causing an embarrased and humiliated Andre to walk off from. *THAT* was the heel turn, the confrontation later with Heenan at his side just cemented it. I never understood that because Andre did the same thing during Hogan's time to shine. If you recall the infamous Piper's Pit segment where Andre challenged Hogan, it was there that Hogan mentioned Andre dowsing him with champagne (or whatever it was) during his title win and Hogan said he had no problem with it because it was his friend celebrating with him. Andre did that for the same reason that Hogan "interrupted" Andre's award ceremony; it was to put him over and congratulate his friend. I agree with the Sid/Hogan thing in 92 (horribly booked if they intended on keeping Hogan a face), but the Andre and Savage feuds in 87 and 88/89 respectively were not cases of the heels being right, IMO.

Sgt. Slaughter's heel turn on Hacksaw Duggan & Nikolai Volkoff. Duggan accepted Volkoff's apology and the two started teaming up. (They turned Volkoff face by saying he's really Lithuanian, a Soviet state that declared independence with the break-up of the USSR.)
Slaughter believes if you're not for the USA, you're the enemy. Volkoff's still a no-good Commie, no matter where he claims he's from. Siding with Volkoff makes you no different than a Communist sympathizer, which is grounds for treason against the United States.
(Forget the part where he sided with Iraq, that came later. I thought it was justified, and actually a lot of fans sided with the Sarge in this supposed heel turn.)

In Andre's case, he was no-showing matches before his turn, which led to his suspension and the Giant Machine. In Savage's case, forget the jealousy about Elizabeth: Hulk walked out on him MID-MATCH to help her, and left him to take a 2 on 1 beating from the Twin Towers. EDIT: Hulk also got a bigger trophy for his accomplishment than Andre did, while Andre's was arguably more impressive (15-year undefeated streak vs. 3-year title run). Kurt Angle when he first debuted. He comes in as an American hero, a gold medal winner who won the Olympics with a BROKEN FRIGGIN' NECK! debuts in his hometown of Pittsburgh against Shawn Stasiak, who the fans had no reason to care for, and they boo him.

Chavo turning on Rey. If there was anyone that should have gotten the love and respect from the crowd, it should have been Eddie's nephew, not one of the guys he had just recently been feuding with. Good point
