Benoit was really rough. and the whole "we do not speak of the gone" unwritten rule is kinda creepy, led to some bad moments where you want to know what happened, but then the Dai Li make everything pleasant. Fun fact, that is actually how the ancient Egyptians use to curse people they despised.

When great threads get deleted, instead of just locked, just because one imbecile wrecks it for everybody.

In all seriousness I'd have to say that's one of the most annoying things. Though the vast majority of the time the mods really try to keep things going while not letting one person ruin a thread. Unfortunately some aholes are consistent

Also when one person purposely acts like a douche to get the thread locked because they personally disagree with it. Like that one History of Hentai thread Cthulu did, which was actually quite informative and a good read.

My least favorite memory associated with this forum is probably the way in which, over a gradual period of time, we drove sinister1 away. I don't know what happened or if there's more to it. I just know I haven't seen him in a dog's age.
Say what you will about his role as THE TNA apologist of this forum, the dude had many an insightful opinion, and I enjoyed reading his take on things, even if he did constantly irritate me with how he'd defend certain indefensible angles. That said, it seems we have a replacement anyhow. And I enjoy reading THAT guy too. But I just hate that, occasionally, opinions tend to get shouted down.
On a more universal level, my least favorite memories involve:
1) Contrarians. Anytime a news story breaks about an IWC favorite and someone comes into a thread and says "Pfft...if this was about Hulk Hogan (or some other IWC villain) you'd all be jumping down his throat." And vice-versa. "You all bitch about HHH, but if this was about CM Punk, you'd all be falling over yourselves to praise him!" Nearly 100% of the time, those arguments ignore the valid points that are presented in the thread simply to make some broad sweeping contrarian point that paints everyone in this forum with the same brush. It insults the hell out of me because it presumes that I can't come to my own informed opinion, or that internet wrestling fans are some hive-minded contingent of assholes who don't know "a wristlock from a wristwatch," to use a well-worn phrase. It just irritates me.
2) When anyone uses "should of," "could of," "would of," etc. It's "should HAVE," "could HAVE," "would HAVE"! Maybe it's because I'm a grammar Nazi, by virtue of my studies, but if you make those mistakes I don't believe it can be chalked up to late-night grogginess or a brain fart. More often than not, people just don't know that it's incorrect. It almost drives me as crazy as using apostrophe s to pluralize a word. But at least THAT I can attribute to a brain fart.
But really, out of all the years I've been here, those are the only gripes I've ever really had. This place is pretty much a paradise to me, as far as safe-havens of intelligent discussion and camaraderie on the internet are concerned. I love it here, and have never had a cross word with a single person here. And I'm sure if I ever did, I could come to a resolution with them through reasoned, intelligent discussion. And almost 100% of that is thanks to the awesome job the mods do, since I don't have to deal with any of the crap that I have to deal with other places online, because the mods don't f***ing stand for it.
Seriously, if this place never changes, I'll never complain about it once.

Kane taking a dump thread. And people posting the picture of that lady with a big smile. Kane taking a dump was one of the most magical threads ever and possibly the best thread of 2010. But everyone has a opinion ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Like that one History of Hentai thread Cthulu did, which was actually quite informative and a good read. In hindsight it really wasn't much of a history, though. Mostly me talking semi-randomly about hentai.

While I've been here for a bit, I think the one thing that will always be a bad memory for me, as some other people have mentioned already, will be finding out about 'Pool's suicide. That one just... hurt, ya know?

That one just... hurt, ya know? ...yeah. I think about it once in a while. I still remember counting down the minutes of my own birthday, without noticing the thread about his death until a few minutes later.

I'm not sure if it was this board or the old one, but we had a guy continuing to argue that Hogan's theme was 'Voodoo Chile" and not "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)".
Someone even scanned that back of the album to show him that they were two different songs and he still continued to argue!

Mine was a certain comment about why at one time the TNA Knockout Division had black heels and the faces were all white. Someone said that blacks people are bad people, or something similar.
Maybe I shouldn't have asked whether or not Vince McMahon hated professional wrestling. I should have been more specific and at least explained why I asked that.
I felt like I was accused of ruining the sexy butt post thread by posting guys on there. I may have thought I could have been gay or bi, but my pics weren't offending.
It was hard to understand why I had a dissenting opinion of a certain tragic event that occurred. I felt like I was being blasted.
What happened with Deadpool was tragic. Rest in peace.

Deadpool passing comes to mind first.
The fact that the picture of the woman with the teeth is still posted annoys me. Anyone who posts it should get a warning or a small time ban.
