I'm about to send out the voting, and here's what I've come up with: Vincent Van Agony vs. Jeremy Dupoe & TyfoSeth Drakin & Boiler Room Brawler vs. Cageking & Connor MackenzieJonathan Michaels & Mad Pirate Mulligan vs. Gus Richlen & Evil MWhitey & Vokoun vs. The Mountain King & The Punisher Champion's Ladder Match: Caleb Fourchon vs. General of the Monkey Army vs. Bergman vs. Amigo vs. Ryan BloodWinner receives a contract allowing him to forfeit his current title in exchange for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship if he so chooses. The contract is valid until the winner loses his title. In the case of the tag team champions, the winner has a choice: he can either make it a triple threat match and put his partner into it as well (in which case his partner loses his belt as well, whether he likes it or not) or he can challenge on his own and his old partner can pick somebody else to defend the titles with Gotta ask............when that world title shot would be??? After GookerMania. We've got enough people in that match already, and if somebody were to challenge Whitey right before GookerMania and actually win, then all of the buildup to Whitey's title defense would end up being for nothing.

Created a new profile. Also, a index on the personalities:
Black = John S. Amigo: The original personality. While what tvtropes.org would call a "Complete Monster", he is the most relatively sane, albeit sociopathic.
Red = Johnny Stone: An artificial personality created by a shrink one year ago for Amigo to "recover" while his body could still wrestle. Was made to be good to try and change Amigo's life. but his natural evil corrupted him. Now, after the one year time limit has elapsed, and being bashed in the head a few time, is completely insane, but as a added "bonus", did not fade away like Amigo planned.
Purple = The Hangman: Ever wonder the in-reason why The Hangman vanished? As alluded to many moons ago, one thing of the Amigo/Hangman training was like the Sith: The protégé will try to supplant the mentor one day. After losing to Vokoun and in a cabin in the wilderness, he tried to, but Amigo defeated him, and crippled him when he broke the Hangman's knee. While he did exile him for good to Haiti and is now retired, a splash of the Hangman's blood entered Amigo's wounds that day, and as the overall psyche has deteriorated, Amigo unintentionally began to think like him now too, as his own twisted way of regret for the Hangman not succeeding as a wrestler, and sadness over what he did to him.

After GookerMania. Well, one problem with that. What happens if the person who wins the contract then loses their title at GookerMania? The whole thing was pointless, then. That's one way of looking at it. But you could also make the argument that if the winner can't hold on to his current title for one more defense then he's unworthy of challenging for the big one. Because--in theory anyway--whoever challenges for one of the lesser titles is going to be easier to beat than the world champion. EDIT TO CLARIFY: And when I say lesser titles, here's how I see it: WHC > everything else. Not saying that the COH is better than the Hardcore title or anything.

Well, one problem with that. What happens if the person who wins the contract then loses their title at GookerMania? The whole thing was pointless, then. You could make the contract go with the title, I suppose. It would get more people interested in competing for that belt at Gookermania, because winning it would mean you can cash it in for Heavyweight title shot. The issue with that though would be its very similar to Money in the Bank. Speaking of Money in the Bank, are there going to be multiple cases again this year?

Yeah, that's the plan, although how many cases is the question. Last year there were four: WHC, IF title, tag titles, and the fired case. But I remember that somebody (Mulligan I believe) suggested there be one more this time around. The issue with that though would be its very similar to Money in the Bank. True, but in this case winning the right briefcase in MITBOB is better. Somebody who wins MITBOB is definitely going to get a title run with something (if they aren't fired), whereas whoever wins this could end up throwing away what he has and then have it end up being for nothing. Or he could wait too long and end up having his current title--and the shot at the big one--slip away.

Don't forget that one of the briefcases could hold a pink slip. That part makes it the juiciest to me, and also rather wrestlecrappy.

MITB doesn't necessarily guarantee a title though, right? It all depends on how you use it. Or is it a lock that JoNo is winning at Gookermania?
As for the number of cases, I think less would be better than more.

As for the number of cases, I think less would be better than more. True, but JoNo's the exception. Most people are going to cash in on vulnerable opponents, and that's even what JoNo did the first time he was in possession of a case; he won the IF title by cashing in on a vulnerable Cageking. I think that the IC heel heat he got as a result of that may have factored into his decision to announce his challenge in advance this time around. Bottom line is that if you win a case and you want a title run, all you have to do is write a PM saying "I'm cashing in after X's match" and the title will be yours. There'll be a rematch which you can't control the outcome of, of course, but you'll still get a run. I agree about the number of cases. With seven or eight participants this time around, the chances of your getting a good briefcase ought to be lower than 50%.

On the one hand, we vote on MitB cash-ins that are in advance. On the other hand, cash-ins on vulnerable opponents are automatic wins. Sounds like there's something off about that.
I have a proposition, but it could be a hassle: what if we vote on whether any given MitB holder will be successful if they cash in on a weak opponent on every card, should they choose to cash in?
I think that would be the most fair.

I think that should someone decide to cash, he can do so whenever he pleases, but directly after he does, we read the card, assess the situation, and vote on who wins from that. Fairly. That way it would keep its level of spontaneity. Only thing is, people could vote for themselves knowing damn good and well that their run is over.

This reminds me of how the Royal Rumble is for chumps today. You have to beat 30 other men to get a match for the Title at Wrestlemania, and you'll probably lose, statistically speaking. Money in the Bank? Beat 5-7 other guys up a ladder to a briefcase that you get to cash in anytime you want, and you'll be treated as just as legitimate a champion, and you will win, statistically speaking. ADR seems to be the first champion that this disparity has been remotely brought up.

May I say something?
*ahem*
After looking through the archive thread I do believe that the best way to counter a MITB cash-in scenario would be to go back to the way voting was done back in the day, a set time limit (10-15 min. at most) with the votes happening in the thread. That way the opportunity could arise for someone who had been working there asses of to cash-in with a good chance, but also gives that champion a hope to defend the belt.
Now, if we don't want to change it that's cool too. I understand why it is how it is and I have no problem with it, but I feel if change is going to happen that is the way the vote should break down.

I think that PMs and giving members time to vote works better due to greater organization, but you make an interesting suggestion. What if cards were like this? This would persist until the World Title MitB briefcase was cashed in.

Actually, I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring on this one.
Maybe write in the stipulation that (And I could See someone, character-wise mind you, like maybe Whitey or the like politicking for this) Claim that "Due to unfairness in the wording of the MitBoB concept, the Champion is is GROSSLY disadvantaged. In the interest of FAIRNESS, all MitBoB winners MUST allow a MINIMUM of ONE WEEK'S Notice"

I got an idea for a match at Gookermania. If you read the promo thread, The General has stated that the WWCF is now making a movie, but no one has been casted yet.
How about at Gookermania we have battle royal for anyone that isn't involved whatsoever in any of the other matches at Gookermania. And the winner will be cast in the movie.
This will not only give them something to do, but potently give them a storyline to work with.
