As much as I, as well as everyone else, was talking about how he was the weakest link of NXT, but damn what a burial last night. > Ziggler spends the whole Battle Royale screaming that he HAS to win this. When he does, he runs down Novak (to the point where he looks like a kid when his balloon just got popped by some big red machine with an ice cream charging past) basically telling him how much he sucks and how he will never have the 'IT' factor. > He then loses a match to a botched finisher (It's honestly hard to tell if it was him, Byron or mixture of both) against the guy he got replaced with. His new pro is rightfully more upset that he's just lost a winner. > Then to shatter the last little bit of his confidence, he basically get's called out on his appearance (big nose). For a guy with a pretty boy gimmick, it's the ultimate insult... especially when the guy calling you ugly looks like a rat. > And then the icing on the cake, he gets eliminated. And when he has nothing to say but kind words for everybody (All while Ziggler is constantly interupting him) the crowd keeps booing him. For a split second, I thought Novak was actually going to stop Ziggler from running to the back and push him back into Masters, but alas, he didn't even get any measure of revenge against Dolph. Just walked off into the sunset with his tail between his legs after the worst possible night of his currently short lived career Take a year back in development Jacob, work on your craft a little and when you've got more confident on the mic and a little better in the ring, come back and prove Mr Ziggles (as well as every single smark and mark) wrong!  |

He looked like a babyface' the entire night. I think he would fit that role much, better than a heel. I did feel sorry for him.
I felt like Saxton should have lost for being the cowardly heel, comic relief who epically fails during challenges.
Then Novak manages to lose against someone like that.
I think that WWE read the results and wanted Dolph to stick around as the main NXT heel pro (like The Miz) that they made the switch to fix that problem up. With Masters, the lowest card guy there, that they'd rather not showcase as much as Ziggler.

And Novak is too plain and boring. He needs a gimmick overhaul before coming back to the main roster.

It was pro voting only, Truth wasn't allowed to vote for him and it seemed that everybody else hated Otunga. So... WHO THE HELL VOTED HIM INTO THE FINAL TWO? Did they eliminate Gabriel and half of them just went "Oh crap, we're voting for the ones we want to keep? Man, am I red faced right now." |

He shouldn't have had a pretty boy gimmick. Largely because he's not really a pretty boy. Plain, at best, would describe him. But yeah, O'Brian's promo against him pretty much defined why that gimmick was a bad fit for him.

Novaks problem is that he was painfully unoriginal. Plain white trunks, kneepads and boots. Plain white sports jacket with nothing on it. Plain blonde hair, plain unoriginal pretty boy gimmick, and he wasnt even a pretty boy.

Yeah I felt bad, but he's plain as others have said. I do like his kick to the gut, up kick to the chest, big boot trifecta move though.

Yeah, Ziggler kinda buried him, even during his farewell speech. I thought for sure Novak would attack him, but he just left. Still, he's probably the weakest guy this season, in terms of future potential. Also, I didn't understand Saxton's finisher. In my recap (read it, please !), I said it was a neckbreaker type move, but having seen it again...I really don't know what to call it. |

So he tormented her for months. Jacobs mom went insane and raised Jacob to despise HHH. Novak decides to become a wrestler in order to destroy his father and take the company from him.

They should've known better than bringing a guy like that with barely any experience whatsoever. That almost never works out well. Developmental exists for a reason, after all. You can't just throw green guys on TV and expect them to succeed.
That said, I doubt Novak would have amounted to much even with years of experience. That doesn't necessarily mean you'll succeed either. Eric Escobar certainly didn't.
