That really sucks.
But, they jobbed him almost to oblivion.

MVP seems to be implying on Twitter that Kaval asked for the release. Wouldn't be surprised if that were true. He probably saw the writing on the wall after they blew off his title shot and proceeded to job him right and left. We'll see...

We could've had him fight Evan Bourne in 20 minutes of the most exciting stuff you'll ever see on WWE TV. But no. I thought everyone was sick of midget wrestling? *rimshot*

Well, I should've seen this happening the moment he won NXT2. They had no intention of doing anything with him, they didn't want him. He didn't fit the mold of guys they wanted They buried him first with the unveiling of "Genesis," then they made him look like an even bigger joke by having him lose to everyone. Then they waste his guarenteed title shot and finally they bury him once more.
Screw you WWE, Screw You.

What in God's name was the point of having him in the first place? Even though he was losing, he was still getting a decent pop. Now NXT is an even bigger joke than it had become. Of course, A-Ri was already getting a bigger push than Kaval. A-Ri, the person they wanted to win in the first place. Just goes to show; since when has talent really mattered? WWE will push who they want to push, often in spite of the fans. DBD is a miracle of modern science.
Oh well.

This is disappointing. He is a talented wrestler who did not get a fair shake. Tale of the WWE tape. Cruiserweight wrestlers always get dissed!

Some news(z) from Pw Insider: We had heard rumors of this the last 48 hours, but World Wrestling Entertainment publicly confirmed that NXT Season 2 winner Kaval, known as Low Ki on the independents and Senshi in TNA, has been released.
The word making the rounds within WWE is that the company didn't have any plans for him and it was an amicable parting of the ways, as opposed to the company dropping the former ROH and TNA X-Division champion. It is believed he has the typical 90 day no-compete that would prevent him from working for any nationally televised companies.
Kaval was signed in 2008 by World Wrestling Entertainment and spent a good amount of time in WWE developmental, despite being well known for his high level of performance in the ring. A number of injuries hampered him during his time in Florida Championship Wrestling before he was brought up to NXT. Much like Herbie the elf, he said "You can't fire me I quit," because he don't fit in.

I'm hoping that he hasn't burned the bridges entirely and that he comes back at the right time. He deserves success and he has the talent to do so.

At least it sounds like he didn't burn bridges on the way out. Like he did with ROH. And TNA. And... a lot of other promotions.

Does anyone have a shred of proof WWE didn't want Kaval to win NXT? Because I find the idea ridiculous.

And people say WWE know talent? What a joke. Here is a guy that was jobbed out simply because he made a name for himself outside of WWE, and they couldn't stand it. I said it once and I'll say it again - WWE is a business, not a wrestling company. They're letting guys like Kaval, MVP, Shelton Benjamin go, yet happily sign cheques for guys like David Otunga, just because he brings mainstream exposure to the show, and they can say "Oh we have Jennifer Hudsons husband sports-entertaining us!" WWE is embarrassed to be a wrestling company. And just because he asked for his release doesn't mean they treated him any better. God. It's no wonder I'm liking TNA more nowadays.

I thought everyone was sick of midget wrestling? *rimshot* I never got the notion that "Vanilla midgets" couldnt work in the WWE, considering that they never gave them a chance. Its the same with actual women wrestlers. Have your divas, but have your wrestlers too, rather than having 2 or 3 Beth/Nattie types to carry Divas to passable matches.

Wow. Really? I love Kaval . Dammit this sucks. He was a brilliant talent and way more entertaining than Daniel Bryan IMO.

From Jeremy Borash on Twitter that's the first time a lot of them will be getting checks in a while since many aren't being used and thus not getting paid.

In other news, "Kaval" is the 7th trending topic on Twitter right now. 4th in stuff that doesn't have a hash tag on it.
