I don't think the WWE have gone far enough with the chosen one gimic.
They should have pushed the angle with Drew blatantly cheating to win matches but since he's the bosses favourite the referees do nothing about.
Like have him blatantly low-blow opponents, refuse to break holds after the 5 count, use the ropes for leverage in matches etc and get away with it because of the pull he has with Vince.
Would make the gimic more interesting and, it would prevent a bit of a different challenge to faces since they're handicapped by having to obey the rules whilst Drew doesn't have too.

He has the best DDT in the biz, build his gimmick more around that.

I think Drew's got potential, I just think he might be in the wrong gimmick. And much as I love his music, I'm not sure it's something you're ever gonna get much of a pop out of.
Really, I think he needs what most midcarders with potential need... time and opportunity. He wasn't the type who was instantly gonna get over (do skinny pretty boys ever get over immediately?), but I think he's the kind who's gonna have a very solid career ahead of him, with a substantial contingent of devoted fans. I really enjoy watching him in the ring, and I think he just needs to develop and convey a character people can connect with.

McIntyre has won me over to some degree. I'm still by no means a fan of the idea of shooting his character to the moon, but he's gotten better in the ring and started developing a good hand on coming off as a cocky badass. Plus based on his mannerisms in the Survivor Series match he seems to be rpetty good at subtle comedy.

He'll be at his best in the 'E when he turns face. Trust me.

He'd get over if WWE gave him something to work with. You can't have a heel crush some jobbers and midcarders and expect that to be enough. That's all they've given Drew pretty much this entire year.

I want a stable with McIntyre, Sheamus, Regal, and Finlay.

Wasn't Regal already part of a 'foreign' group: The Unamericans? I just don't see "Evil Foreigners" Working as a gimmick today. But if you put it as Regal and Finlay training Sheamus and Drew, to be more brutal and deadly. I think it could work (Barrett would have worked in that idea, being a bare-knuckle fighter himself)

They don't have to be evil foreigners. I was thinking of them more as mentors like you posted.

What i mean is he could get so much more out of it , lets say he inserts himself in title matches simply because he feels he deserves it . A cocky lady's man who backs up his words , he needs a serious story not just beating up randoms for the hell of it . Nothing wrong with Drew's booking - they're keeping him dominant so that when he faces someone of merit the crowd wants him to get his ass kicked Exactly. Matt Hardy was an afterthought to the WWE by the point of their feud. Their intentions were to feed him to Drew to get him over. The fact that the feud continued actually got him over to a degree. The fans erupted when Matt started getting his revenge.

He's supposed to be the chosen one but really what has he done the last few months? Shouldn't he be kicking up more of a fuss if he's Vince's favourite wrestler? This one's already been explained. With Vince in a coma from the Nexus attack, there is no one to enforce his privileges as the Chosen One. Remember that segment where McIntyre had to get down on his knees in front of Teddy Long?

That's fair enough but shouldn't he be finding some way to get back in favour like flirting with Vickie or something?

He was plenty over during that feud with Kofi and Teddy Long.
He hasn't really done much of anything relevant in the past several months, but same can be said of the majority of wrestlers on Smackdown.
And his music will get dead silence, always.

Still with this? It's like the whole forum has to keep perpetuating the lie because it can't admit it was wrong.
He is over. He gets a good reaction for a mid-carder who's not doing anything. Last time he came out he got a good reaction. To say otherwise is just a lie.

Lets focus on how over Drew will be a year from now. The potential is huge. He still currently trying a ladies man thing.

I agree with what many have said already. Drew has huge potential. He has good in-ring psycology (check out his match on superstars against masters for proof of that). He has a great-looking finisher. And he has the heel mannerisms down. All he really needs now is to be given an actual storyline/feud
