I had a thought.
It seems there is a law...which I'll call "Potpie Law" because I just made it up. Potpie Law states if someone is employed by WWE, no matter how much they job, botch, or barely get on television, there will always be a fanbase for said person. Now if such law is true, then it stands to reason that with tools like facebook and the 'crap, all fans of one person could band together and stage a happening. What would be the purpose of such an event? Does there really have to be?
For example...someone mentioned Zack Ryder getting an unusual amount of love on here. Let's suppose all Zack Ryder fans got together at a small house show (in I dunno...say, Syracuse, where all the venues are tiny). It's not expensive to make cheap headbands, so everyone makes a bunch and passes them out to everyone they see, along with copies of lyrics to his song. Then when he comes out for his 2 minute match, we all slip on the headbands, mark like crazy, and sing his song out loud. And of course record and upload.
It doesn't have to be Ryder. Could be someone even more obscure, like Mark Henry. The smaller the venue and the more obscure, the awesomer the response I think. I've been thinking of the idea as sort of a social experiment. Can you get people to care about a wrestler they didn't come to see? What do you guys think?

You do know that Murphy's Law would pretty much guarantee that if you go through this elaborate setup said wrestler wouldn't be booked right

looks like a great thing to do on a live raw, but zack ryder always gets the jobber entrance (yesterday the entire match got the jobber entrance ), so it would be wise to choose someone else or do it on superstars

ALRIGHT HAWKINS FANS, LET'S DO THIS.
(the only guy I've never seen a single fan of is Eli Cottonwood. If somebody can find me one, I'll be amazed.)

Before he got fired, I had this idea that as many people as I could possibly get would go to a SmackDown taping, put on fake beards, and mark like the second coming of the Rock when Mike Knox came out.

Only problem I could see is getting the people at the show to actually do it. I tried to pass out signs with the brands logos on them at Bragging Rights, and only got like 4 people to take them.

Or just be able to buy the front row for one of the taped shows...so their cameras capture it as well. Speaking of which, I recall that in Royal Rumble 99, when Al Snow came out and his music played, literally the first three rows started dancing, how they managed to accomplish that, beats me.

I'd do it for Justin Roberts. Honestly? I would too. Roberts is so under appreciated.

Yoshi Tatsu! We can teach people the lyrics of his theme and bleach one strand of hair. Then, we'll all shake our fists wildly in front of us and scream when he's wrestling.
Seriously, though, I love Yoshi Tatsu. I wish he had more screen time.

ALRIGHT HAWKINS FANS, LET'S DO THIS. (the only guy I've never seen a single fan of is Eli Cottonwood. If somebody can find me one, I'll be amazed.) My ex girlfriend liked him. Even worse, it's because she thought he was hot. I'm SO glad I dumped that bitch. Back on topic, I think something like this would be awesome but you'd either have to find the perfect location so everyone wouldn't have to drive 500 miles or something, or just find a bunch of rich fans with nothing but time on their hands. Of course you'd also have to mark like crazy for the guy during his match. Hell, something like this would probably result in a push on television.

Closest we got on this was the week after Rosey got his new uniform... 2004ish, I had met Rosey at a huge autograph session and asked when he was going to "Graduate" (he'd been doing the Super Hero In Training for about a year at this point) he didn't know/wouldn't say. I had tickets to a house show the weekend after he showed up in the new duds, so we brought a big graduation banner and held it up after his match

I keep thinking that Security wouldn't put up with any sort of pre-organized tomfoolery.
And even if it managed to happen, I see WWE firing the wrestler being supported soon after, if it's a jobber-level guy like Primo, Ryder, etc...
