Is it better to use more guesses or to use more clues? Or does it really matter either way?

The formula goes:
Guesses + (3 * clues after the first) = total for round
Ex:
For Terry Crews, FTM earned three points (it took Wasake three guesses.)
For Martin Sheen, Wasake earned five points (two guesses + one additional clue)

I have been following the challenge but fallen a little behind. Thanks for keeping it going guys. To keep it from dragging on to long I will probably call a time limit on it by Wednesday evening so we can move on to the next part if that's ok with everyone.
