While the thought of never seeing a Bob Holly match again is cool, the cause of that isn't. Dude should have gotten some form of karmatic justice for some of his antics, but not this.
Side note, one thing that he did when he was still on tv that I did enjoy and made me laugh was during the Dominik story-line when Eddie went insane and yelled and pushed around his wife, Holly told him he needed to calm down. I just like ironic humor (and I think that's what they were going for)

Notice how the SmackDown! locker room's gone to hell since Holly's been gone? Nitro and Orton among others maybe could have stayed in line if Bob Poppa Pump was still kickin ass. Holly if ya hear me. I never thought of that actually. You're probably right

True, this is old news, but I hope Bob makes a full recovery. A career-ending injury and the prospect of death isn't something I'd wish on anyone--not even Hulk Hogan when he helped kill WCW.
My favorite Bob Holly moments were with Crash, when they'd strut to the ring carrying weight measurement machines and calling themselves "super-heavyweights."

I was on the floor in laughter, wondering why Bob Holly, beater of cocky upstarts, was now the voice of reason! Great TV!

Good. "Holly has gained something of a reputation as a bully due to his stiff in-ring style by which he has injured wrestlers to the degree that they must take time off, such as with former WWE employee Matt Morgan and following unstaged incidents, such as his treatment of Tough Enough III contestant Matt Cappotelli and his vindictive attack on the face of René Duprée during a match as punishment after Dupree got into a traffic accident with Holly's rental car and neglected to own up to it, resulting in monetary damages and legal issues for Holly. Some believe him to be a real life "enforcer" used by Vince McMahon to punish poor behavior on the part of young wrestlers. He is also one of the leaders of the Wrestler's Court with John Bradshaw Layfield, responsible for in-house policing of wrestlers and rumored hazing. While some fans were highly critical of Holly's actions, others defended his actions as the typical means of conflict resolution within the wrestling industry, which is not unionized and poorly regulated and therefore lacks conventional mechanisms for addressing grievances." I've been called a low down, yellow bellied sidewinder myself, but I can't wish ill on others...except for Mark Henry...but no, not even Mark Henry...maybe...no, no, not even.

That being said, I wish no one any near death experiences, but I'm not going to cry in my beer over Hardcore Holly either.

I'm not going to jump on any bandwagon. I'm a long-time Holly hater. I find him boring in the ring, I feel he should've been fired a long time ago, and I wish someone would kick his ass for what he did to Matt on Tough Enough.
But never, ever, would I wish something this awful on him. I want to see him fired, but not forced to retire due to career-ending injury or illness. I wish for him retirement, not death. No matter what I feel about someone, I'd never wish pain, suffering, or death on them. Even when his arm was broken, I felt sorry for him, regardless of Tough Enough.
My sincerest prayers go out to him, and I'd rather see him back in the ring healthy again than on an "In Memoriam" screen shot.

Bob Holly should get better. I don't think he's the giving up type. I always like Bob as a wrestler I think he's underrated like a mug especially here and in the IWC. slamming Matt, while a lil harsh was how things were done in the old school and still done today in some places. What he did to Dupree is understandable considering it gave him legal issues.
As for having no support for people who are in serious issues. If you know the people PERSONALLY and didn't like them when they were healthy, not wishing them well on death's door isn't too far fetched. But how many of us here no him personally? Exactly

I always thought of Bob Holly the same way I used to think about Owen Hart. He was a mid-carder, but he was probably one of the best damn mid-carders on the program.
All the things about what a jerk he might be and everything aside, the guy's a great performer in the ring. Not that that would justify any of his wrongdoings.
The whole karma argument a thankfully small group of people are giving is pretty ludicrous. Karma working out, and Bob reaping what he's sown (so to speak) would be a cruiserweight stiffing the hell out of him during a SmackDown match that he was scheduled to win.
Not the risk of early retirement, permanent injury, and death.
Get well soon, Bob. I'd like to see that Alabam Slam and the self proclaimed "best dropkick in the business" at least one more time.

Well, although its already been said, whoever said "Good" can just.....nah, I dont need another warning.
So because Holly is a legit badass and an 'enforcer' he deserves to possibly die at the worst, and maybe lose an arm and his career at best? You know who else keeps things in line backstage? Undertaker. People talk bad about him? Nope. I've liked Bob Holly ever since he was in the JOB Squad with Al back in the day, and if you ask me his grumpiness makes him even more likeable to me, he's a modern day cowboy and I mark out for that, as Terry Funk might say, he'll "go John Wayne on your ass". And people can cry about him "shooting" on the Tough Enough kid all they want, but, you know what? Better Bob Holly does it in a control setting than it happens in the locker room or elsewhere. By making an example out of ONE kid, Holly sent a message to EVERYONE in that room, and I think it was a great way to do it, and if I was Matt, I would've found Holly later and thanked him for it. And I'm totally serious.
And let me also say I think and hope he will come back from this just like he did his broken neck and arm.

Not realizing that by wishing him ill, they're invoking a little karma of their own down the road.
No one deserves this. It's NASTY. No amount of Dupree-abuse would ever justify this.

As much as I dont have respect for Hardcore Holly's actions against Dupree, Cappotelli etc, and as much as I was happy that he got non-career ending injuries in the past, ie. vs. Brock and Kurt, I wouldnt wish death on the guy! Hope Holly gets well soon.

Anyone who says it's karma is a jackass, plain and simple. God,t he nerve of some people.
I hope Holly gets better, I really do. As one of the few Holly fans, if he never wrestlers again, I'll be tad dissapointed, but as long as the guy turns out fine or even with his life, I'll be glad. Get well soon Bob.

No that's called Karma. Damn I watch to much My Name is Earl. Who has Holly ever given a life threatening illness to? I hope to god he comes back and beats Rey for the world title just to spite everyone who hates the guy without ever meeting him in their lives. (Well, that, and because I like him and cant stand Rey!)
