That's weird, seems like a stupid question but is it the same region code? Definitely is, my PS2's just futzy when it comes to playing DVDs, always has been. I'll try it on the DVD player in the other room later to see if it actually is a problem with the disc.

Bah. My copy of Backlash 2009 won't play on my PS2 at all, the disc refuses to be read. It's in great condition, no scratches or anything, too. I'm used to DVDs skipping on my PS2, but stuff that outright fails to read usually doesn't happen. Ah well, I'll watch No Way Out instead, I guess. PS2=DRE (or disc read error). Sorry man, but it starts with DVDs, then goes to games.

I've had a fair share of disc read errors ever since I got it back in 2004 (and they've always righted themselves as well), but this actually might be the first time it was "Unable to read disc." that I can remember. And it does work fine on the DVD player in the other room, as well. Eh, I'll just chalk it up to my PS2 being picky and fussy like usual. Back onto topic! I saw the Royal Rumble DVD cover yesterday and I really like it. The "25th Anniversary" banner across the top (inaccurate though it may be) adds a touch of class, and the cover itself is much better than the Santino promotional poster.

I'm wondering if there is any DVD set that includes Shawn Michaels matches with Undertaker, his HoF induction ceremony and the speech on RAW the next night where Triple H came out and hugged him at the end? Does this exist?

I'm browsing DeepDiscount.com and a lot of their WWE dvd's are cheap. I don't know if that's their usual price or a random sale or what, but there are some good things for $7 or so.

Got a hold of Raw The Beginning. Bringing back some good memories. It kinda sucks that they're not gonna make any more season sets, as I just want 1 or 2 more so I can have the ECW Invasion stuff on DVD.

I was gonna get the dvd but realized the Survivor Series matchup is only on the Blu-Ray.
I hate WWE's home video crap these days.
I refused to buy BluRay anything.

Well watched the doc on the new Rock Blu. It was pretty good, but I'm still not a huge fan of the guy. Oh and the new Rock set now puts my WWE DVD/Blu Collection at 374. The Royal Rumble Blu will make it 375.

Does this exist? From what I know, you'd have to watch the individual WrestleManias with Undertaker, and the farewell speech is on the One Last Stand DVD. Speaking of which, that collection made me depressed. Really depressed. Did Chris Jericho have to job to them so many times? And the less said about "Little People's Court" (they should've gone the distance with that skit, with introductions from both sides and typewriter crawl), the better.

Great eye! Before I order, what's the difference between the two versions of Mania XX? Amazon has an out of print one from 2004 and this one from 2005. The content is the same, that's the good news. The bad news is that the 2004 one is rare. As in, it's the good-looking digipak we're all used to. The Wrestlemania XX from 2005 has a "stacked disc" approach". In any event, I wouldn't let that stop you. It's own my list of the best WWE DVD's ever made, as the event is solid, and the special features are spectacular. GO FOR IT! Thanks for your help! Just got done enjoying the event for the first time with my very own copy. Much appreciated.

Wrestlemania 25 is on "My Journey", albeit in fullscreen. I think Wrestlemania 26 is on the Best PPV Matches 2009-2010 set. Also the HOF Induction speech is on the Rivalries DVD.

I was reading on wwedvdnews.com that WWE is planning four 4 disc sets. Each one covering a specific period in the companys history. 1985-1989, 1990-1994, 1995-1999, and 2000-2004.
No word officially if these will be released in the US or not, but it seems likely. Besides all the WWF editing, my main concern is what are they actually put on these sets. I mean if most of it is stuff I already have then it's like why bother. I mean considering the size of my collection, I'm bound to have a lot of it already.
Of course that's only a concern for my situation. These sets are a great idea as long as the content is good and they are reasonably priced.

Well anything up to the scratch logo won't be all that bad. The music edits on at least 85-89 shouldn't be that bad except for Steamboat. Although I like the music they use for him, it just needs to sound more organic.
But yeah once you get into Attitude it's blur-a-mania.

Do you think they'll ever put out another foley dvd, especially since he's back on good terms with the WWE? I wouldnt mind a documentary (yeah his bios have the whole story, but that didnt stop jericho or austin from having docs on their dvds) or even better, the wrestling "films" he made as a teenager.

More than likely they will since he's never gotten the full bio treatment on a DVD. I wouldn't expect one this year though.

There's a rumour going around that the World Wildlife Fund are looking to change their name, and thus the agreement between the WWF and WWE would be gotten rid of. I doubt Vince would change the name back to WWF, but at least they can stop with the blurs.
