I really dont do comics, but I know a lot of people on here do. And even though I dont, this is just................wrong. Yeah It's news like those that make me feel old. Really, what is this shit? As a kid i watched old Superman cartoons and everything was fine. He never needed a new outifit especially not a shitty one like that 21st Century sucks!

How could you even hate or like this? Unless I'm missing something, there's only that one picture, in which the suit seems to be exactly the same, he's just wearing a shirt and a hoodie over it. All we have to go on in that explanation provided. So...yeah. I'm not seeing what the big deal is yet.

Earth-One.....Isn't that Earth Prime? As in Super-Bitch Prime? Or am I getting my Multiverse designations confused again?

And even if that is the general idea, big deal. It wouldn't be any further a re-imagining than "Red Son" was, and it isn't as if it's an "official" costume change like Wonder Woman got.

I honestly don't see the problem here. I don't really see anything "hispter" or "emo" about Superman here. I'd say this is more of an attempt to make him "darker and edgier" than hipster. And he still looks like Superman. At least he doesn't look like this:

This is not Superman for the Twilight generation. Its just a story of Superman if he started now. Its looks pretty good from previews but I am waiting more for the Batman one

Pandering to Twilight fans by making Superman brooding? This is why we can't have nice things!

Erm...guys...
This picture's been around since early in the year and these places decide to notice this NOW?!
Sweet Christ, the Internet is depraved.
Edit: And also, as others have said, this is Superman done in now. I've been looking forward to this bad boy since it was announced.

I was worried when I heard the word "hipster", but that's not a hipster. He looks like a kid. Hell, I dress like that.
If he was wearing those ugly f***ing black glasses and a dirty USPS hat because "haha it's ironic that I'm a spoiled bitch but I wear a laborer's hat. I'm a piece of s***", then I'd be really worried.
And there's absolutely nothing 'edgy' about Twilight. He's not shirtless. This is like.....I don't know, the main kid from The OC I guess?

Pandering to modern comic book fans by making Superman brooding? This is why we can't have nice things! Fix'd. Or at least I think it is.

i read that exact same thing in the paper last night and you know what its all bull
ive read part of that in a preview section in the Batman comics i buy and its actually really good and isnt really anything to do with making Clark a hipster or anything like that its just a modern spin on it and i actually wouldnt mind picking up the hardcover of this

No, no no. You don't make Superman a hipster, he's too mainstream. You have to do with an obscure hero, you know, someone you've probably never heard of.
