I dislike Aquaman simply because he isn't Namor. Namor is just so much cooler. I happen to like Aquaman, but this. Very, very this.

Agreed. I've always preferred Namor as well.
Though I will say Aquaman as joke became an overdone meme.

Secret Seven? What? God dammit, I knew this was gonna f*** up the Six. The Secret Seven are more like Shadowpact. Whether DC uses them to try nd jumpstart their mystic titles after the event, who knows, but otherwise that's what it is. Calm down. It just makes me a bit wary that all this "rebooting the continuity" business is being talked about, and then a book with a suspiciously similar name to my favorite one debuts. Just saying, I don't like the implication.

Secret Six is actually beginning to gain readers, I don't think, even with rebooting being the flavour of the month at DC, that they would throw that away for a group of mystics when mystic comics just don't perform that well.
On saying that, if DC want to give Robinson another run with StarMan and The Shade, then I'll be all for that, as long as it doesnt mean S6 ends for it of course.

Dark Reign, DC style?
Whatever happens at the end of Flashpoint, the heroes lose and Zoom or another villain 'wins' reshaping the world into an evil reflection for a bit?

I think these reboots are just silly. I'm glad that for the most part my comic reading has been condensed down to an occasional Graphic Novel or two ...

I'm just going to be direct - everything I hear about Flashpoint replaces whatever came before it as the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Being that two of the comics I am keeping up with right now are Booster Gold and The Flash, I have some high hopes for Flashpoint. It can't be as boring and pointless as Brightest Day. At the same time, I would like it if they would not have an big event for a couple of years.
To the earlier point about the rainbow lanterns, I've liked most of them. I really like Saint Walker teaming up with the Justice League. I hope he is a regular addition. I also realise I am the only person who reads the current run of Justice League.
I like a lot of what DC is doing but then again, I liked WCW so maybe that explains it.

Stupid idea. You're gonna alienate older fans by essentially tell them that what they've been reading/been fans of for years doesn't matter; and the new readers you're gonna gain is gonna be absolutely minimal.
As a separate imprint ala Marvel's Ultimate expansion a decade ago, that'd make sense; to do that to your canon titles is a dumb idea.
That said, I don't care cuz as I've said before, I just pretty much want a good story; and continuity gaffes and things don't really bother me anymore. But in general your main fanbases are pretty hardcore about continuity.

lol, on another forum somebody mentioned that the Justice League now looks like they should be the Teen Titans. Here's how I responded

They're not really gonna renumber say Detective or Action Comics are they?
THAT would be a stupid idea.

EVERY book is starting over. There will be 52 #1s in September (including the Justice League #1 that comes out Aug 31).
They're pushing the reset button on everything and Justice League is the only announced book so who knows if there even will be books called "Action Comics" and Detective Comics"

See, that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I'm just an old fart, but you've got a book that's lineage starts back to 1938 and pretty much invented the genre, you don't f*** with that.
