Have to go for MOP since It's the album that really got me into Metallica. Plus it has my favourite Metallica song on it (Disposable Heroes).

Master of Puppets is (along with Ten) one of the best alubms ever, pretty much perfect. After that I like Justice, then Ride then Black Album(yes i like it better than Kill Em All.
Justice technically is insane, id give it 9.9, whereas MOP is just a perfect ten for me, what i want in an album

1. ...And Justice For All
2. Ride The Lightning 3. Master of Puppets 4. Kill Em All
...AJFA has to be the greatest metal album I have ever heard. I find it in a different league from even Master of Puppets

Gotta give it up to Ride The Lightning. I remember the first time listening to it, thinking that my friend gave me a different CD by accident because the Classical guitar intro to "Fight Fire With Fire" really threw me off, lol.

AJFA. The production values may suck, but I think it's a monster of a record, and definitely my favorite Metallica album, possibly my favorite album of the entire metal genre.
However, I love Master Of Puppets and Ride The Lightning... MOP a little more than RTL.
Overall, I'd rank Metallica albums:
1. And Justice For All 2. Master Of Puppets 3. Ride The Lightning 4. Metallica 5. Kill Em All (I'd put Garage Days if it counted, here instead)
And, go ahead and flame me, but I really like ReLoad, too... some really great songs on that album... Fixxxer, Carpe Diem Baby, Low Man's Lyric. Great stuff. The Load/ReLoad records are really underrated for the most part... they had some crap in them, sure, but there were some seriously amazing songs in there. The structure they had on songs like Outlaw Torn, Unbleeding Me, and Fixxxer really should have been the direction they would go in, in the future... Not Death Magnetic or St. Anger.
