Got my "50 Drive-In Movie Classics" today. Only watched "Twister's Revenge" so far, which was about a monster truck programmed with a mind of it's own. Three bumbling rednecks try to steal it, only to be made fools of by Mr. Twister and it's driver every step of the way. They do capture his wife and programmer of Mr. Twister, though. More of an action flick than a horror (there's obviously a mix of genres on this set), but that didn't stop me from loving the hell out of it!
I'm deciding on what to pop in later.

Sounds like a cheap man's version of Maximum Overdrive.

Just watched "Murder Mansion". Well, I at least tried to. It started out interestingly enough. A group of strangers take refuge in a hidden mansion during heavy fog and stay the night. As it turns out, strange things begin to happen and the guests start to be picked off, one by one. It plays and feels like a rip-off of "The Haunting", minus all of the scares (though the old lady was freaky). Halfway through I started to lose interest and hopped on the internet, having it play in the background. This is something I normally do to movies I've already seen before, as I don't pay much attention to them. "Murder Mansion" found the same fate, though it's by it's own fault. It does have a great poster, though:

TR, I just love how the guy talking about Suspiria was all like "Imma stay faithful to the original!" and then not even two sentences later, he's like "But I'm not going to set it in a ballet...I'm going for an all girls school...." And the thing about THAT is that I've already seen the Korean "Haunted All-Girls School" horror series, and two of those movies - Whispering Corridors and Memento Mori - are damn near IMPOSSIBLE to top . Also, everyone might get their wish one day on the "flying shark" horror movie front, since our own DSR once said that he's written a screenplay about just such a thing.

I'm surprised anyone remembered that. And I don't have a screenplay written yet. Just some rough notes and a very basic plot outline that probably needs revised. And if I ever do write the flick and get it made, it will literally be a dream come true, 'cause I had a dream where me and my best friend saw a movie about a shark flying through a mall eating people, and when I woke up, I said "I should make that movie."

Plot details for Piranha 3-DD

Plot details for Piranha 3-DD I hope that's actually the version that's going to be re-written, because not only does it seemingly forget about the mega-piranhas at the end of the first one, but it's also....retardedly easy to avoid the motherf*****s in that scenario. It's quite easy to hop out of a pool, drain the thing, and then fill it with bleachwater. End of movie. Also..."plumbing"? I'm calling it right now: there's going to be a scene of someone (either a gross fat guy or a hot chick) sitting down to take a s*** on a toilet when one of these things pops out and bites them in the ass.

After Jerry O' Connell in the first, though....your idea is probably the right one. Another question: How the hell are the going to work in gratuitous nudity this time, beings as to how the setting is going to be a presumably all-ages theme park? Afer hours shenanigans between huge-breasted park workers, mayhaps? ;D ;D

That may not work out too well.

That may not work out too well. Yeah, kids dying is like, a huge taboo it seems. It's the one line that horror films rarely like to cross. At least, the mainstream ones. I honestly think that an "Alex Kinter" moment in this new Piranha might earn it an NC-17 on it's first cut. I mean, little Johnny, all of two years old and bobbing in the shallow end in his water wings before being viciously ripped to shreds by carnivorous fish? I can see the MPAA balking at that, though they had no problems with the first one's gratuitous nudity and dick-ripping. They're odd that way. You can't have a gay-sex scene in a horror flick, but someone's dick being eaten off? GAME ON. It's something I honestly don't get about the MPAA and films in general, but horror films in particular.

I don't normally post these, but since it combines both horror and pro wrestling, I thought I'd share my review of Kurt Angle's latest movie, River of Darkness. Also featuring Kevin Nash, Psycho Sid Vicious, and GLACIER!!!!!!!!!!!!
...
I said GLACIER!!!!!!!!

Good point indeed. What I would do though possibly is just have it be nothing more than a senior high school class on a field trip. We had those before, and i'm sure other schools do that too. I mean, every other horror film involves teens these days. Time to destroy them!

Mind.Blown. {Spoiler}Second, yeah, the ending seems like they f'd up the ending, probably when they had no more time to make it actually work with the story.

And I agree that a kid death would most likely earn "Piranha 2" the NC-17...but I doubt it'll scare them off in any way.

Plot details for Piranha 3-DD So it'll be like Jaws 3D, only intentionally cheesy? I'm down with that! Perhaps. ;D Plus, are they going to go for the jugular and actually kill some kids off in gruesome fashion? That may not work out too well. Yeah, kids dying is like, a huge taboo it seems. Does anybody have a link to that MPAA shirt that said "Must Punish All Artists"? Also, mysterydriver, your voice is awesome! How you don't have a job as a voice over actor is beyond me.
