Well going with the idea that each race of Pony have a main city where it is mostly, if not almost exclusively, made up of that race, with Cloudsdale belonging to the Pegasi, and Appleoosa belonging to the Earth Ponies, Canterlot belongs to the Unicorns, and since Lyra is a Unicorn, it makes sense for her to be in her race's city. |
