Anyone just...lose a dragon after killing it? I killed one while walking my way to the greybeards on the mountain. As soon as it died it started to just roll off the mountain and into the chasm below before I could search it. I considered going down to search it but I figured by the time I got down to that area I would have lost it. I got the power thing but none of the scales or whatever. Also, anyone else done that mission where you assasinate the old lady who runs the orphanage for that kid? And then the courier gives you a threatening letter? And then you go to sleep and wake up in a cabin halfway across the map and you owe a debt to the assassin group? Scared the hell out of me.

I killed a dragon in Solitude and it WON'T despawn. And then another untextured dead dragon appeared and I was able to absorb its soul but it still has no texture. So now every time I go back to Solitude the dragons are waiting there dead at the front gate...but they're always in a different position each time.

My game crashed. I was walking back to some city (I dunno, the one where they chop that guys head off) after doing some quest and I reached a crossroads suddenly the game just stopped. None of the buttons on my controller worked but the background music was still playing. Then the music finished and I waited 5 minutes before just turning the console off. Now I probably have to do all those fetch quests again ARGH!
Also, has anyone else seen the headless horseman ghost? I saw it while heading to said city in the middle of the night.

Everyone please keep relaying your Skyrim character stories. Too many bills piled up to justify 50plus dollars to buy the game right now, so I'm having to satisfy my gaming with FTP MMO's and beta testing SWTOR. So please keep this poor soul entertained with some stories of dragon slaying goodness

Well since you asked so nicely ...
I came down the mountain and gave word to some chap that I had delivered his goods to the monks. As I watch farmers in Ivarstead I pondered looking for an artifact the monks were going on about but decided I could do that later especially as some bloke was standing on the wrong side of a river shouting at me.
Turns out said chap is a bit dim and has lost his sister according to the Inn Keeper. The villagers think she is dead but was last seen a year ago on an island north of the village in the river.
I duly set out to this island killing a bear on the way.
Exploring this small islet I find a lot of trees, some mountain flowers and a cave, I go into the cave.
Oooh mushrooms, ooh hole in floor, it looks a very looooong ...
... way down, damnit now I'm stuck down here. Maybe if I swim? Hey a chest with a some rubbish armour and some gold, damn dead end.
Guess I'd better try the door, Ack spiders!! spike trap! ... Ooh I like that helmet, ah it was a pressure pad trap for all these arrows sticking in my body ... painful.
Hmmm Draugr, nothing like burning dead undead flesh in the morning ... is it morning still? I've been down here a long time.
This cave is getting a bit damp, hmmm a room with three naturally forming dias ... hey a crypt ... oh crap some sort of undead warlock. Wait there are three of them??
Undead lighting hurts ...
Ah so he's using illusion, to fool me. Who does this Draugr Warlock think he is Quentin Beck??
Several arrows of various types later and we have a dead Draugr Warlock. Yay treasure! A magical warhammer! Damn this thing weighs a tonne.
So there is a secret door to the entrance.
I was in there a long time it's night now. Lets see whats that in the river a skeleton ... of the blokes sister, tis a sad thing. Loot the bones!!
Whats that noise?
Hey a ruby and the sisters journal, oh joyous day I can now buy some mead!
Now I'll just rest at the rivers edge... Oh god I'm on FIRE!! DRAGON!!! Taste my orcish steel you beast!!
No don't do ... that ... I hope you choke on my bones!!

I'm on Xbox, works fine and no issues so far. But if you want to use mods or see it even prettier PC is probably the way to go. (I don't use my PC for gaming so not an option.)

Nope, think your thinking of the haunted barrow next to the village (Not sure if there is a dragonword in there as I haven't been yet).
The cave I was in I don't think had a dragonword area that I came across, just an Undead Warlock pulling a Mysterio illusion.

Go talk to the innkeeper and you'll get the claw key. instead of turning left to where his lair was, turn right and there is a door (hidden?)

Sadly Skyrim will be taking a temporary backseat to Skyward Sword.... Loving the new Zelda thus far... so much depth...but my god the graphics look like liquid sh*t after playing skyrim!

Tried to use raise dead on a Dragon skeleton, it just flew across the town and now lives on the roof Riverwood Inn. Also, I never got the letter or quest, just sliced her because she was a bitch

And then you go to sleep and wake up in a cabin halfway across the map and you owe a debt to the assassin group? Scared the hell out of me. I did that mission last night and decided to beat the shit out of her with my Daedric Warhammer. No one abducts me in the middle of night and gets away with it. Of course, I used an old save so I could replay that mission and go the other way. Definitely one of the more epic questlines I've played through so far and I highly recommend siding with the Brotherhood so you can experience it. So, what system is everyone playing on/suggesting to buy it for? If you've got a decent PC, that's definitely the way to go. If not for the prettier visuals, then definitely for the hundreds of mods that will be released in the coming months that will add even more of a lifespan to an already lengthy game.

Has anyone ever had a Dragon crash when they fought it? I hit one with Storm Call when it went to fly by me, and it crashed into the ground and left a huge trail in the dirt, and lost a ton of health. Literally took one hit after that, but it looked awesome. Knocked me on my ass when it crashed though. Just happened to me for the second time. The first time the dragon crashed into the ground and either died on impact or had already died from an arrow shot which caused it to crash. But tonight I had to put one more hack into it to finish it off. Just a really cool moment that makes dragon battles even more epic. Speaking of dragon battles, does anyone else get them constantly? I get them quite often at Riverwood and Winterhold College. Especially Riverwood where as soon as the old dragon bones disappear after a few days, another dragon shows up. I know I've killed at least 20 since I got the achievement for absorbing 20 dragon souls. I love the battles, but they seem to pop up very often and at the most inopportune times. On the bright side, now I can make plenty of Dragonscale armor sets

An axe is unbecoming of Triple H. He should have a mace or war hammer. Preferably a war hammer.

Reminds me of the giant I killed outside of Whiterun at the beginning of my playthrough. I was like, level 5 when I lured it into the town guard and the giant killed most of them before I finished it off. Not until the Whiterun siege mission was it finally gone, and that was days later, in real-time.

Well, I'm pretty sure my wife was cheating on me.
I married the woman from the trader store in Riverwood because I had helped her choose between a local elf and bard and I found it amusing to marry her myself. However, on returning to Whiterun from a couple of days in the wild, who should I see loitering suspiciously outside my house, but the same elf I had once helped! Fillled with jealous rage I was sure she was still seeing her former suitor on the side.
I say was because, in broad daylight, I stabbed him in the back with my superior ebony longsword, used my status as thane to get off scott free, then told my wife we were moving, following her outside so she would see the body. She weeped for approximately 2 seconds over his body before continuing her walk to Riften where I haven't bothered seeing her. The only downside is theres now a corpse outside my place in Whiterun and its means theres ALWAYS a little crowd of people to gawk at it!
I'm worried this story is revealing a hereto unknown sociopathic side to me....
