Triple H vs Chris Jericho WWF title match April 17th 2000 - *** was a pretty solid match for the time it was given and the pop Jericho got when it seemed like he had really won the title still gives me goosebumps

Floyd Mayweather (and about 7 other guys) vs. Big Show, WrestleMania XXIV. ***. So-so match. I loved how the crowd came around and hoped Big Show would whip the guy's butt. When he grabbed the chair and started hitting Show, the crowd turned. It had heat and it was better than Big Show's usual "special attraction WrestleMania" matches usually are.

Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk, ROH All Star Extravaganza 2. ****1/4. Far more bloody and intense than the two hour long draws, Joe wanted to kill Punk, and almost did. Fans were largely with Joe, until the point where he got a two on Punk with his feet on the ropes, and then turned against him. Ricky Steamboat saved Punk at one point, but once Joe had the final Choke on, there was no saving the Punker. Ranked it last out of the trilogy, but it is still a very good match in its own right.

WWF Championship match - Shawn Michaels vs Goldust. Raw - September '96. *** 1/2. A solid match that the crowd was really in to. Great offence from both guys with some good spots. The finish could've been a lot better though.

CHIKARA "Through Savage Progress Cuts The Jungle Line" - Mike Quackenbush & Manami Toyota vs Claudio Castagnoli & Sara Del Rey. I don't like to give "stars" to the matches, but since this thread is about that, i'll give it *****. Not too much to add here. It was an amazing finish to an amazing show. I was excited from start to finish.

Rollerball Rocco vs. Dynamite Kid... can't remember the year, I think 82 or 83. I'd give it a ***3/4 rating, it's a fairly well known match and the work in it is great, I just can't get past the psychology of having to break the match up into 3 minute rounds, breaking the flow and pace of the match. The two worked really hard to not let that affect the match, but watching it today it does break the flow of the match.

Jessie McKay vs. Nicole Matthews, SHIMMER 33. I don't do star ratings either, but this is one of the best women's matches I've seen of the past three or four years, that I'm surprised isn't generating more talk (maybe because not enough people take the time to watch SHIMMER). Both of them are just a few years in the business but put together an amazing mid-card match here. Both have very bright futures.

Alberto Del Rio vs Mysterio 2 out of 3 falls last SD 4 stars I would give Mysterio-Del Rio 2 out of 3 falls 3.5*. The final fall just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Undertaker vs SCSA Fully Loaded 98- First Blood
Loved the build up during the show(each wrestler kept attacking the other to make them bleed). The actual match was a fun brawl but all of the run ins gave me a bigtime headache and took away from the match. But man, Xpac was mad over in July of 1998.
3.5 stars out of 5

Roddy Piper vs Hulk Hogan: War to settle the score. ** Great promo-work from both men. The actual match is fun, but not much of a match really.

I think the old british style of breking it up into rounds is pretty cool, and makes it seem more legit.

Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Steen - PWG All Star Weekend 2: Night 1 (11/18/05).
It wasn't bad. Steen was f***ing hilarious.

I'm seriously marking for Del Rio lately, and I've always enjoyed Rey's ring work when he has someone of equal or better talent to work with; I don't really like the "sneaky heel interference leads to count-out" ending, though.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Rey Mysterio - Summerslam 09
*** 1/2 - these two have tremendous chemistry together. The pacing was particularly great - Dolph was there with a strong cutoff every time Mysterio looked ready to take the advantage. The finish was quite cool. It loses some points for some bad execution in places and a general lack of noteworthy story elements.

First off, good thread idea.
Austin Aries vs. CM Punk Death Before Dishonor III (6/18/05) ROH World Championship Match ****1/2 This match is amazing in many ways, the main one being, everyone thought this would be Punk's ROH farewell. The crowd was incredible, heavily in favor of Punk and literally booing every single thing Aries did. The in ring action was fantastic. They played off the fact that Punk couldn't be stopped, willing to take anything from Aries because he needed to win that belt before leaving ROH for good. Punk would be successful, winning the ROH title. What happened after is what makes that night legendary. Punk would cut an ingenious promo, turning heel on the ROH fans, teasing taking the ROH title with him to WWE. This would start a short, but my personal favorite, era in Ring of Honor, referred to as the "Summer of Punk".

Rock and Roll Express and Hacksaw Duggan vs. Big Cat Ernie Ladd and the Midnight Express. *** 1/2. this was the second of two matches back to back on the disc, the first one held like a month earlier. the faces won the first one with Gibson only in for maybe a minute of the 15 minute match. the heels go over in this one when it breaks down with all six are duking it out. some dastardly shenanigans leads to the pinfall. this one had the usual Ricky Morton in trouble for a long while. my first real time seeing Ladd,he had a double leg drop that he used often here . him and Duggan mixed it up pretty good.
