Which championship belts, past or present, are your favorites? I always loved this style of belt that Reggie Park's first introduced in the mid-70's. Very simple but seeing this style of belt used on Memphis TV for years made me a fan.

The winged eagle WWF Championship, The WCW Championship/World Heavyweight Championship, the old TNA Championship, and the current IC Championship
All of those look really awesome.

If I had to pick one favorite it would be the mid 80's- late 90's Intercontinental belt. I always liked that belt because I thought it had a distinctive look and looked like it belonged around the waist of whoever held it. It's still hard to picture Mr. Perfect without it.

NWA TV title(JCP version, silver and red) Ditto. Gorgeous belt and proof that it doesn't require gold to make a belt look worth owning.

-I'm partial to the 1973-86 version of the NWA World title, the "10 pounds of gold" Ric Flair would always talk about. Had the flags on it, looked like a world title. (Never really was too keen on the Ric Flair "personalized" Big Gold Belt, looked "too busy" to me. And, in a way, it looked like a larger version of the NWA World Tag-Team titles.) -The NWA United States "silver" title, because the #2 wrestler in the company would have something that's a step below gold. (It's nice to have the silver, but you'd much rather have the gold.) -The old green WWF title, last held by Hulk Hogan. They had the names of the former champions on the extra plates. Nice little touch to the history of the belts. (On the same wavelength, the old green I-C belt last seen with Greg Valentine smashing it against the cage walls after losing it to Tito Santana, which explained why Tito had the new title in his first interview. If you want to introduce new title belts, this is the way to go. Have the heel destroy them; the title means so much to them that they can't bear to give it to the new champion.)
And of course the red & silver NWA TV title. Just looked so different as opposed to every other belt I've ever seen. It stood out that much.

It begins and ends here. This belt is absolutely timeless. WWE could bring it back today, and people who had never seen it before would love it. Some belts may be bigger, some may be more "old school", but at the end of the day when I think championship belt, I think of this belt.

The IWGP Heavyweight Title 3rd Belt. Too bad its legacy got ruined before taking off due to all that Lesnar fiasco, but it's an awesome looking belt. Ditto for the current one.

I always liked the idea of having a "system" for belts, like the old NWA.
The World Heavyweight champ carried the "Ten pounds of Gold" that Flair always talked about, which looked great-simple, elegant, polished. Lou Thesz' old belt. The United States Champ had the "Silver Belt" -the next step down. Also very nice, but clearly distinct from the World belt. And then there were the regional champs-one of the best examples was the Southern Heavyweight belt shown at the top of this thread. You could tell the pecking order of the various belts almost at a glance.
In the days of the touring NWA world champ, the reigning champ would typically come to town to face the regional champ, and both would bring their belts to the ring. it could be quite dramatic.
"In this corner, in the blue trunks from Kansas City, Mo. at 255 lbs, the World's Heavyweight champion, Har-ley Raaaaace!!! And his opponent, in the opposite corner, in the white trunks From Memphis, TN at 230 lbs, the Southern Heavyweight Champion, Jerry "The King" Lawler! This will be a 60 minute time limit match for the World Heavyweight Title." The ref holds the belt aloft and slowly turns to face all 4 sides of the ring-Lawler asks to inspect the title, and fingers it very dramatically, while the hometown crowd is roaring behind him. The visual difference between the Southern belt and the World belt is obvious to everyone in the crowd. Good stuff.
In other words, they knew how to use the actual belt to add to the drama of the story in those days.

Global Honored Crown Heavyweight Championship National Wrestling Alliance World Televistion Championship (sulver and red) WWF Intercontinental Championship (late 80s-mid 90s)
and Neal's Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship Belts have quickly climbed the list for me. Not necessarily #4 overall, but definitely top 10.
