Now that that WWE is done with their BIG 4, will they ever wise up and give Starrcade and / or the Great American Bash a DVD set?
It is the next logical step, granted it is not going to be as good with the music edit. I have ever Starrcade on DVD already in combination of home video and original PPV or Closed Cicruit feed, but it would still be nice for the fans that only buy commerical DVDs.
As for the Great American Bash, I wonder how they would handle the first GAB, as the only home video release was on Vestron home video and WWE doesn't have the rights to that and it the whole card was clipped to begin with and I don't think they are interested in that, they probably just have the whole event with their commentaters providing the commentating.

I remember hearing we were suppose to get a best of War Games & best of Halloween Havoc but sadly we have not seen it
But hey don't rule it out about Starrcade or the Bash since we are getting the best of Nitro (Seasons 1 & 2)

I think he means complete events ala the Anthology sets Ohhhh...OK. In that case, yeah, I could get behind that. There are quite a few Starrcades that I would not mind having on DVD. Yeah, I realize they're probably going to be edited all to hell, but still....

I doubt thats ever going to happen. With Classics on Demand, and with their channel they have on the way it would just be much more cost effective to show them that way. Lets face it, the WWE home video market is niche enough for most stores, and when I say WWE, I mean just pure WWE stuff.
The people wanting old NWA/WCW ppv's is an even more niche. It'd be nice if they did it, I just don't see the buyers for major retail stores agreeing to sell those. The WWE dvd's/blu's they get now are in very limited quantities. The only way I see WWE doing this is if they sold them directly.

I doubt that might happen. If all else fails, I might get some bootlegs of a certain site, if the set is real anyway.

I recall hearing the Survivor Series anthology set did horrible business for them, and soured the company on the entire concept of any further anthology sets in the future. Especially since old WCW shows would sell even fewer sets than WWE's own marquee events.

The first 2 for 60 combined was a good deal when they first came out though.

A shame there wont be any future anthology sets, i was looking forward to a king of the ring one (they could have even added the KOTR matches from the 06 tournament, and the KOTR eps of Raw from 08 (minus the political stuff of course) and 2010).

they could potentially do a Best of Havoc DVD. I could pull out 25 matches from the history of the event that could fill it nicely if you really want me to? lol

Why not just go the tagged Classics route and do cheap releases.
We're happy with em (Well I am anyway), I'd rather them released in a "Budget" style than not released at all.
As for edits I'm sure they could strike a deal with the WWF for the Back Catalogue ONLY (They shouldn't take the piss).

Now if they did a Worldwide "buy Disk"/"Download" by the order rather than Mass Distribution then I'd be OK with that.

Apparently the only way this is gonna happen is if WWE axes WWE Home Video and has a 3rd party company put the older stuff out. If anything WWE should maybe talk Silvervision into opening a US division strictly to put out old releases. Maybe find some company and ask them to become Coliseum Video part 2. The only way we're getting this stuff unblurred is if its put out by a 3rd party. So find a 3rd party for the US WWE!

Anything WWE can do to prolong putting never-before-commercially-released-on-North-American-DVD Benoit matches on DVD, they're gonna do.

Well, that appears to be the misfortune of Survivor Series Anthology. WWE finally started doing volumes instead of the box sets right around the same time the market tanked, which may be part of the reason they stopped. I also wonder if the desire to be more PG kept them from doing more volumes since they were almost to the Attitude Era for Survivor Series as well. I'd love to see Starrcade, but I guess a lot will depend on how much the season sets of Nitro sell.
