This story made me laugh.
Whether it's real or fake.

I honestly thought it was weird that the Undertakers entrance was just a typical Undertaker entrance. I'm kinda tempted to buy that there was supposed to be a more elaborate entrance for the Undertaker, but the horse story seems a bit urban legendish to me.

You'd think that The Undertaker would be the one riding in on a horse considering HE'S the old-timey western mortician.

Guy could barely handle a donkey from the WM 21 gig.

Hey, we had camels at Wrestlemania IX, and that turned out well, right?

Hey, we had camels at Wrestlemania IX, and that turned out well, right? No. Savage screwed Heenan and made him ride out on an attack camel, while Savage got to ride with the vestal virgins who fed him grapes. Heenan was supposed to be out with the girls.

Hold on.
As the Last Outlaw, with his stupid ghost cowboy thing going on, wouldn't Undertaker on a horse have made more sense?

"Reports are coming in that the horse's unprofessionalism has led to it being depushed and sent back to FCW for further evaluation. There was a hope that the horse would have gotten over during this appearance and WWE officials had plans on putting it in a stable." Back to TNA for Mickie James then.

Ok. Let's assume it's true. This all happened. Can we skip to the next logical question and ask....why? Why the hell would he ride out on a horse? Because Taker is the Last Outlaw? And his return promos were Western-like? So then, shouldn't Taker have been on the horse? Between this and "Cowboy" Bret Hart, WWE just won't be happy until someone rides out on a horse. It's been about 30 years in waiting, but it's gotta happen, so Vince can die a happy man. Jeff Jarrett rode out on a horse during his short run with Tennesse Lee in 1998 I'm pretty sure.

So this was apparently in last week's Torch. Bryan Alvarez has also confirmed the story as true. How very odd.

I mentioned at WM right before their entrances started that it would be really cool if Taker came out on a Horse for his grand entrance to go along with that Last Outlaw shirt.

I'm sorry, I don't care who "confirmed" it, I still think it's newz.
They could have all the dry runs they want and have everything go perfectly. But what happens when you've got 70,000 screaming fans, a bunch of thundering music in the background, pyro going off everywhere?
And if the horse fell that far down, how did HHH escape uninjured? How embarrassing would it have been if the horse took a dump halfway through the entrance?
I am surprised that the Undertaker's entrance was "normal" compared to his usual Wrestlemania entrances. But given the fact that they half-assed the entire feud right up until the last week, it doesn't surprise me that they'd half-ass the entrance too. And while I wouldn't be surprised if the horse idea was talked about during the planning stages (along with about 74 other ideas), I can't picture it being taken very seriously once someone put a basic amount of thought into it and saw all the risks involved and all the things that could go wrong.

Police horses are trained for riots (and football matches) so I expect WWE could have found one that could handle the situation even if it is a risk.

But didn't Trips take the horse back to the barn and shot it in October 2005, prior to that year's Taboo Tuesday? Raise your hand if you got it.

I remember a member on another board that I frequent mentioning something about during the HHH entrance test run that it was one of the most embarrassing things he had ever witnessed but wouldn't reveal what it was....
This makes sense now since I was there at Mania wondering what was so wrong about the entrance they did...
