i still say Edge vs. Del Rio ends it. otherwise, i can see the order happening. No way they end with Del Rio/Edge. Should be US Title Match Corre vs. Show/Kane/Santino/Kozlov CM Punk vs. Randy Orton Cody Rhodes vs. Mysterio Morrison/Snooki/Trish vs. Ziggler/LayCool Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge HHH vs. Taker Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler Miz vs. John Cena

Yeah, Cena / Edge / Show was pretty good. Meaningless, as it capped off a short, nothing storyline and amounted to Cena losing the title back three weeks later, but it was a good match and it had no trouble following Michaels / Taker. The problem was Orton / Triple H only had one cool spot (the immediate finishers) and that was at the very beginning of the match.

i'd personally have Rey vs Cody go on first. Rey is over enough that he would get a decent first pop of the night

I really like the idea of Sheamus/Daniel Bryan opening. I like both guys alot, so this'll be a classic opener to pump you up for the rest of the night. Agreed. That's about the only part of that listing that makes any sense to me. The rest is just way off from how I'm imagining it'll be.

Yeah, I really doubt this. If only because that is way too early for Cole / Lawler - that should occur near the end of the show. This is actually something I can totally see happening. You have to figure Cole is going to eat a stunner. They're going to want JR and Lawler together to call the big matches, or if theres a wrench and Cole goes over, he may be calling matches as well. Putting that on early gives them that chance. If that match is late, it completely rules out Cole or Lawler (you'd think) for commentary on the main events.

I hope that's not the card order. That would actually make the show less fun to watch.

My guess:
Sheamus/Bryan
Corre/Big Show/Kane/Santino/Kozlov
Orton/Punk
Mysterio/Rhodes
Lawler/Cole
Edge/Del Rio
HHH/Undertaker
LayCool/Ziggler/Snooki/Trish/Morrison
Cena/Miz

And Cena/Show/Edge got the crowd back during their match after Taker/Shawn. It was only when Hunter and Orton went out there and proceeded to have "just a match" that the crowd completely died out. You know, you're actually right. Now that I think about it, I don't remember Cena/Show/Edge having any trouble with the crowd. I mean they had "just another match" IMO, but that's what people expected. With Orton/HHH it was just a massive disappointment. I'd say Orton/HHH was actually an embarrassment, and not just a disappointment. I liken it to when Cena and Orton had their epic staredown in the Rumble match this year and the crowd was just NOT having it. They pushed Orton/HHH as the top storyline, and while it made sense with the kinds of reactions they were getting during the build, the kind of match they delivered was such bullshit. THAT was the match that needed false finishes, run-ins (I mean, come on, Batista returned the next night on Raw to take out Legacy - why couldn't he have done the run-in at Mania and gotten the huge main event pop for the biggest show of the year?), and wild brawling. Instead, they gave us a slow, plodding match in which HHH couldn't get too violent since Vickie ruled that Hunter could lose the title on a DQ. But I think another reason the crowd was dead was simply because everyone was ignoring the match in anticipation of the eventual run-ins and hot nearfalls towards the end. But that never came. What a dry fart of a main event. That said, even if the match order gets switched around this year and Hunter and Taker go on last as has been rumored in previous dirt sheet updates, I have faith that it will steal the show. A LOT of people are expecting that match to underwhelm, if not outright suck. But I'm in the opposite camp. In 8 months time, HHH/Taker is going to be a MOTY frontrunner, mark my words.

how are they gonna have the main event go on 2nd?
and Orton/HHH suffered because HBK/Taker and Austin's celebration both went way long. it looked like HHH was building towards an Orton comeback when all of a sudden the ref yelled "2 minutes!" it looked like since at that point they couldn't really go anywhere that Trips just said f*** it and ended it.

He's been one of the most over guys in the company for years. But I agree, that would be a good opener. Even if it pretty much guarantees a Rey win. "Welcome to Wrestlemania, we're gonna kick things off my completely humiliating one of your biggest heroes!" probably wouldn't go over too big with the crowd.

Wait, where's the Kid Rock concert going to be? It'll be a Snoop Dogg concert this year. They're taking out Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus.

If Cena/Miz closes the show, then Trips is losing. No way The Streak ends and it DOESN'T close the show.

I don't believe that order at all. They wouldn't have the WHC, HHH/Taker and WWE title match all in a row, would they? Exactly what i was thinking. Wrestlemania 25 says hello.

Exactly what i was thinking. Wrestlemania 25 says hello. Regardless, it still seems very unlikely that it would happen again.

Cena hasnt closed since 2007. I think something major is happening in that match. Cena wins, followed by an immediate challenge from the Rock ala Hulk Hogan @ WM IX? just wanted to throw that one out there...
