Will Cole mock it tomorrow night? Please no, please! Cole mocked his mother's death. His estranged son's hospitalization pales in comparison. I'd be very surprised if he *didn't*. It would be in good taste to keep real life issues like this out of storylines, but since when has that ever stopped the WWE?

How serious is that condition? Anything life threatening? I sincerely hope not. No dad should outlive his son, especially so soon after losing his mother.

It would be in good taste to keep real life issues like this out of storylines, but since when has that ever stopped the WWE? Pancreatitis is generally minor, but can be life threatening. THe hosipital stay is to get the inflamation of the pancreas. If it responds to treatment, he'll be out in a couple of days. Knowing that, Cole really wouldn't be getting anything out of bringing it up and probably won't have time during Wrestlemania to do it anyway.

How serious is that condition? Anything life threatening? I sincerely hope not. No dad should outlive his son, especially so soon after losing his mother. As mentioned earlier, pancreatitis is rarely a serious disease. I've only seen its serious side a few times, and that was in people who have had pancreatitis a million times already. Treatment is as simple as not being allowed to eat for a couple days, getting IV fluids, getting opioid pain control (since the pain with pancreatitis really is that bad), +/- having a nasogastric tube placed for a couple days (depending on symptoms and the policy of the institution). While getting treated, they're most likely going to go searching for possible causes of pancreatitis. Gallstones are the most common cause, so they'll ultrasound his belly to check for them. If he does have gallstones, depending on his labs he may get an upper endoscopy that will remove some of the more distant stones, followed by a laparoscopic cholecystectomy to remove his gallbladder (again, very low on the totem pole in terms of risk for surgery). They'll check his cholesterol in case the ultrasound is negative, in which case he might need to go on medication. And as much as I hate to generalize, the guy is a wrestler who fell from fame to obscurity, so it could be related to alcohol problems. Hopefully that's not what happened this time.

Wouldn't not posting have been just as, if not more effective? Why then do you need to declare the need to not say anything?

Is it wrong of me to thank whichever higher power has assured he will not have a run-in cameo at Wrestlemania?

I agree about this coming around after he played the jerk on his dad. Of course, Cole said kayfabe that he is just awed by Lawler and to have a routine with him is a dream.
