Jim Ross never fails when it comes to bringing in talent. I don't know why they don't let him keep his old job there, though it seems he's still doing it to an extent anyway. I've heard it is a very stressful job and that he was kind of an ass because of it. I wouldn't praise him too much for his work in signing people. I honestly think he was a huge reason as to why they only signed really big guys back in the late 90s. Remember how he told Tony Jones in Beyond The Mat to bulk up more? Tony Jones would be considered a pretty big guys in WWE nowadays.

To the person who mentioned Daffney...
WWE at least knew about her at one point.
At an event I went to in Philly a while back, Crowbar was in a dark match and Daffney came out with him.

Correct me if I'm waaaaaaay off here, but wasn't Dibiase largely (comparatively) injury free during his career? I'd guess so, though his career ended due to a bad neck. But I've never heard of him being hurt before that. He did seem to work a safe style, even with that out of the ring bump he liked to take. EDIT: That IS Dibiase I am thinking of who liked to take that backwards bump out of the ring, isn't it? i do recall way back on his Georgia Championship wrestling days that he suffered a broken neck at one point and was out for almost a year. i remember one of the interviews he gave when he was trying to come back. he was a bland vanilla face back then if i recall correctly

I can just imagine poor Sunny calling up random employees of the WWE trying to get a contract. Steamboat: "Hello?" Sunny: "Hey Ricky it's me Sunny." Steamboat: "It's 4am!" Sunny: "It's only 3 here." Steamboat: "Who gave you my number?" Sunny: "Haha. You're too funny Ricky." Steamboat: "You calling about a job?" Sunny: "How did you know?" Steamboat: "You've called like every agent except Arn Anderson. You've called Dean Malenko twice. And you've called some of the guys that haven't even been with the company since the 1990s." Sunny: "So do you think you can give a good word to Vince for me?" Steamboat: *sighs* "Goodnight Sunny." *Steamboat hangs up. Sunny begins looking for Arn Anderson's name in rolodex*For some reason I started reading Sunny in Tommy Wiseau's voice.

If that were the case then beofre Steamboat said "Goodnight Sunny" she'd ask "How's your sex life?".
