This story implies that had Triple H or Vince McMahon been called earlier, Chris Jericho wouldn't have left, CM Punk wouldn't be leaving, and had the writer thought about it more, Sting would have been inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
Is it really that difficult for Vince or HHH to be contacted and or step in when they think they can help? Unless there is some plot to dump Johnny Ace and replace him with Hunter, I'm not sure it makes sense.

Not sure why so many folks are shouting newz. Is it that hard to believe that with a few talents leaving the company that Vince wanted to keep, he'd be unhappy with the person normally making that happen? I'm not saying it's not plausible, but personally I don't buy most newz unless it comes from a reputable site. And "wrestlingnewz" doesn't really strike me as something that meshs with that category.

Once, Johnny Ace was a booker for a Japanese promotion. He was the favourite of the owner, a middle-aged female who inherited the company from her late legendary husband. Rumors say he was the ultimate yes-man for her. Ace wanted things to go his way, but the wrestlers said a very loud "f*** THIS AND f*** YOU, JOHNNY ACE!" and they left to form their own promotion. That is, ALL the Japanese wrestlers in the promotion except one wrestler who had hopes to become the head booker of the company one day, and an old man who was very loyal to the late husband of the woman.
The company had been on TV for 27 years. After the above, it wasn't anymore. Things got DIRE as OFFICE WORKERS f***ing raised the anchor to get away from f***ing left-foot Laurinaitis.
If how he messed up WCW, the WWE developmental system, the WWE women's division and the WWE developmental system AGAIN isn't enough proof of his ineptitude, wrap your head around the fact that Johnny Ace is a key reason why All Japan Pro Wrestling was dimished to 3 wrestlers (Toshiaki Kawada, Masanobu Fuchi and an aging Vader) and a referee while the rest, including Misawa, Kobashi, Akiyama, Taue etc went and formed their own promotion, NOAH.
And Vader rejoined them, soon enough. And Kawada wrestled there eventually, too.
Johnny Ace is an enemy of pro wrestling. He's the ultimate WrestleCrap. He has no redeeming values whatsoever outside of an AMAZING capacity to find high-caliber jobs in the wrestling industry and staying employed.

I'm not buying it. I don't see Trips and Vinnie going batshit over losing CM Punk and Jericho, just because of past history, and how we've all heard about Vince not buying CM or Jericho early in both careers, and ... it's f***ing Triple H.
Plus, Johnny Ace seems like he has heat deflecting armor that he never sheds.

It may sound NEWZy, but that doesn't make it absolutely untrue... ... or maybe I just really, really, really want it to be true. I can admit that.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that the signing and re-signing of main-eventers is done without Vince's knowledge.

Sources also revealed Vince McMahon and Triple H chasing Laurinaitis in circles around the meeting table while music from Benny Hill played in the background.

Ever get interviewed for a job and interview with both the interviewer, then his boss (and then sometimes his boss?) The interviewer's gotta get you to his boss first though. I know these aren't interviews but it is still similar situation. Ace is the one that should be working these things out in advance so he can then go to Vince and say "Okay I was talking with Punk and he wants to work with us some more, we talked about x, y, and z". Then Vince can talk with him if he wants.

Well, if this is true, yet another disgrace for Johnny Ace.
So that would include: a) Austin (possibly) b) The Rock (played a role in the whole contract thing in 2004) c) Zack Gowen (wrong one-legged wrestler) d) Booker T (went with FCW so that he could party in Florida more) e) most of the Women's division (allegedly hires based on his libido) f) Brock Lesnar (pissed him off so that he ended quitting) g) Matt Hardy (the whole thing with Edge and Lita) h) CM Punk (if it happened; comedy if it did) i) The Dynamic Dudes (not even the Fat Boys could save them)

There's two ways to solve this problem actually... throw more money at it.. or make changes in the product and lifestyle associated with it. More days off... more creative freedom... or just throw lots of money at it.
This is not the first time many talents have fled the WWE for other pastures. Johny Ace isn't terrible at his job, but in the time he's taken over the job from Jim Ross.... there has been a lot more leaving of big names, than there has been of developing new ones. Hell.. I'd even say guys like Cena, Orton and Batista were all hired under the watchful eye of JR... Punk was a Heyman guy (and probably hired by JR while he still had the job).
He's lost Angle, Brock, Punk, Batista, Jericho (to be fair, so did JR), RVD, Jeff Hardy (not his fault), and I'm sure there are more. Stars are not developed quickly enough to replace these guys..
I really hope Taker gets this job.. otherwise, pro-wrestling could be dead to me.
