Well good for you...I'm happy for ya buddy all I'm saying is that his response was very lackluster ...and I'm not saying he should've wrestled Del Rio. Just him almost quitting over CM Punk is stupid. It says that he wants to fight Punk, and he is tired of Vince not being a "fighter." This is the complete opposite of what Punk called Cena last week, an "ass-kisser." Eh, it just doesn't do it for me... Cena defending CM Punk's rights...I just don't like it  |

How is it stupid when he cut 2 promos saying why he didn't like the decision. Punk was his challenger, and he doesn't turn down challenges. Going against Punk in Chicago in his last match is huge and something he wanted. It was explained pretty clearly. They've really sold this PPV the last 3 weeks. And its not even one of the big PPVs, so I applaud the effort from all involved. Applaud away... I think it's dumb. That's just me |

I thought it fit okay within the confines of the shoot promo. Punk made it out to be that he and Cena really don't dislike each other. Broke the fourth wall, but whatever, you can keep going with it while you reel the angle back in.
I do think it's tough to follow up on though.

I'm getting massive screwjob vibes from this promo. Whether it's Cena or Punk on the receiving end, I can't tell yet. Vince shouldve announced a screwjob happening tonight and then Cena wouldve had something to go against!! |

This would actually be the perfect way to turn Cena heel. Cena, now scared of losing his job, conspires with Vince to pull a Montreal Screwjob type finish on Punk. This sets up Cena as a heel and gives Punk time off until he comes back as a huge babyface for revenge on Cena and Vince. Yeah. Imagine Punk coming back and winning the Rumble and inserting himself in the Rock/Cena match! They need to run with Punk as a rebel babyface. If Randy Orton can get over being a SCSA Robot V1.0, imagine what a guy with charisma could do. |
