i've been waiting for this match since mickie debuted last fall, i want her to win that belt bcuz im tired of trish, and i would love to see victoria and mickie fued. and why are they wasting a mtach on torrie and candice?

Candice gets a match because she's in playboy.

Its all about promoting. WWE hopes that Playboy fans will tune in for Candice, then stay for the wrestling, (Notice Divas are in the Second hour now) and Playboy is hoping some of the wrestling fans won't go on the net, and actually buytheir magazine.

Comparing Trish and Mickie to Hogan piper.....wow....I never considered that...yet......too... many.... smart ass comments..... trying to get out........

So here is the real question. Is this angle working because its been a long time in coming (now a days most angles like this would be done, start to finish in about 8 or 9 weeks) or just because its a good angle for them (Them being Trish and Mickie))
Or a little of both?

Yes, it is the best written storyline. But I am looking forward to Angle vs Mysterio vs Orton the best. The problem with both main events is that between injuries and Eddie Guerrero's unfortunate death the 2 main events were switched so much that it's not a well thought out story line

also Eddies death probably didn't affect the Raw main event at all, you could tell months back it'd be HHH/Cena

True but without Batista's injury Angle would still be on Raw, and he would need a match. It would be Batista vs Orton and/or Guerrero if not for Eddie's death. Angle could have been thrown in a 3-way with Cena and HHH. And even two months ago, there was debate over if Edge should be champion going into WM.
