You need to politely tell her that it's just not going to work out. I have Asperger's as well and all I can say is I've always learned to tone it down when somebody tells me to just shut up. I can tell you that she is not trying to be a bitch about it. A lot of Asperger's patients engage in one-sided conversations about a topic and completely misunderstand expressions and feelings and such. So you have to be blunt, but polite about it for her to understand.

So... doe she really have Asperger's Syndrome, or is it more a case of S.D.A.S.S. (Self Diagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Syndrome)?

Yeah, he did the right thing. Like I said, If she's suffering from Asperger's that means that she probably doesn't understand that it annoys him that she's doing this, so the best thing to do is to nicely tell her it's not going to work out. OP you did the best thing possible now that I've seen it. Don't ever regret it, it needed to be done.

I would have started dating her just to keep her happy. Hell with how I feel. My main goal is to make the woman happy. I can't really blame her for wanting to talk about country music over rap. I wish I still had the "to hell with how I feel" attitude. I've been through so many unsuccessful relationships that I find myself looking out for myself a lot more these days. And it's not that I wanted to talk to about rap music instead of country music...I just got irritated with listening to her talk about her favorite singers and such for 20 minutes straight. Oh yea, I know it wasn't her fault. I researched it a little bit and the one thing that stands out is when I read that people with Asperger's don't usually realize that they're being rude. It's just something I couldn't deal with on a regular basis, like I would feel myself getting very angry at her while we were talking, and it took everything I had to just stay polite. So... doe she really have Asperger's Syndrome, or is it more a case of S.D.A.S.S. (Self Diagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Syndrome)? Apparently she really has it, but claims that it wasn't very severe. Along with ADD (or ADHD, I can't remember which one). .....with you? Or was she just tired? Probably emotionally drained. She had been asleep all day because she worked the night before. When she texted me she said that she had just woke up, and less than an hour later was when she told me she was going to bed. I think she was just upset with me. Judging from her reactions I felt like it really hurt her feelings. I think that most girls would have either taken it well, or gotten pissed off at me...instead she seemed like she was trying to change my mind. I still feel bad but it had to be done.
