Silent Rage- Chuck Norris kills an axe murderer, only for crazy scientists to resurrect him and make him an unstoppable killing machine. Solid flick with a really fun bar fight scene. Is the axe murderer played by Andy from Tough Enough? Also, UNCLE SAM features Timothy Bottoms, who was in INVADERS FROM MARS, the film I most recently reviewed. ;D

The more and more I read the plot, the more and more I keep thinking it's fake even though it's real. Ooooooh what wacky hijinks will occur when her inheritance is a socially inept chainsaw wielding cannibal?! Seriously. I'm betting $5 right now...she will be a vegetarian. Isn't that WACKY?! But I'm sure they'll stay "true to the original" (Or at least say that in an interview like every reboot/reimagine/remake/redo/redundant film made) while updating it for a newer (read: less likely to care that the first part of this sentence is a lie) generation. And...and...multiple films? "Leatherface goes to Space " . Leatherspace?

Has Netflix Instant suddenly opened up a pandora's box of shockers? My recommendations suddenly turned up a bunch of HG Lewis movies!
Also, is Let Me In any good? Intended to see the original, but this was first on the horror listing.

I'm guessing the script writer decides that Leath-y should have both arms. Pssh. Whatever, dude. Okay...I'm done. For now. As much as I would hate these, I'd watch each one in theaters. I'm that crazy! Silent Rage- Chuck Norris kills an axe murderer, only for crazy scientists to resurrect him and make him an unstoppable killing machine. Solid flick with a really fun bar fight scene. Is the axe murderer played by Andy from Tough Enough? I actually made that joke on my GoMiso account when I checked into the film. Has Netflix Instant suddenly opened up a pandora's box of shockers? I personally loved "Let Me In", thought it's not necessary viewing if you watched the original.

I can see you guys only wanna discuss the new stuff and nothing old or semi-obscure. Think I'll mosey out of this thread now.

Just finished watching the bad spanish slasher classic Pieces. It's awful but man do I love it. I've never seen it. What would it be on the so-bad-it's-good scale? Acquired taste or Funny to horror fans? Now, MikeyCee...you actually say this: How dare you! Don't you defame Bats! It starred Lou Diamond Phillips, daggone it! He could pick off flying bats with a six shooter while hiding under a car! Do you realize how amazing that is? EDIT: I don't think I've ever had as much trouble combining comments for a post my entire life. Take 7...POST!

I think I'll post some classic horror trailers when I'll get home. I'm a bit of a horror nerd.

I watched Pieces whilst putting up the curtains when we moved into this apartment - what a terrible, terrible film. Loved it! As I said, Netflix has released a bunch of crappy old horror, which I'm going to watch in my downtime. Think The Gore Gore Girls will be next for me. Turned off Let Me In, although I was enjoying it - I didn't feel like I could give it enough attention. Instead, watched most of Lo before I had to rush out - was really enjoying it. Actually, Netflix Instant reminds me of the old video store model - there was a constant turnover of blockbusters and big new movies at eye level. On other shelves in the middle of the store there were genre sections, which had classics, previously big releases, and some dreck. And on the bottom, was the new stuff that didn't warrant eye level attention. Lo had the feeling of a movie that always seems to be available, and eventually you rent it out of curiosity, and really enjoy it.

The Gore Gore Girls is such a fun flick, although 2000 Maniacs remains my favorite HGL flick.
Pieces is directed by J Picquer Simon, who most people may know from Pod People.

So...anyone here ever seen the Brian Yuzna classic "Society"? I haven't seen it in years, but it's always occupied space in some corner of my mind. I finally found it on Amazon, but I'm trying to rationalize paying $36.96 for a new copy or $24.95 for a used copy.
It's definitely a movie I'd like to have in my collection.

TWO THOUSAND MANIACS! was a great movie! I saw it on TCM Underground a year or two ago. I taped it (yes, I still have a VCR), so I might have to dig out that tape and re-watch it one of these days. I also have PIECES, which I actually bought the DVD for. Linda George shouting "BASTARDS!" in melodramatic fashion makes me laugh. And the ending is just so crazy! Got this one back when I was in college. Can't remember how much I paid for it (or even if I paid for it...might've been a Christmas gift). Very weird movie.

Okay, so I check Youtube's free movies pages for stuff to watch (Cause I'm a cheap bastard, that's why), when I noticed that, in action & adventure, is Resident Evil: Afterlife, along with the original movie. Now, saw the first one, second one too, miss the third after reading the plot, and now I'm gonna watch the 4th one. Maybe double feature it with the OTHER free video game horror movie on Youtube: House of the Dead.
