Sweet thanks. Who in the world is Ace Hawkins and Nick Madrid? Nick Madrid is a trainee of Lance Storm. I think Ace Hawkins is a Georgia Indy guy, I'm not sure.

I wonder why didn't all the wrestling promotion acknowledge these awards back in the day. The NWA had their winners accept the awards on screen, while the WWF ignored. I guess they wanted to pimp their magazine. But what harm of acknowledge the award, it gives them creditability as a sport.

People on here complain about the Powerslam awards being the smark awards, but PWI always proves to be the mark awards by awarding everything to the WWE. I remember reading an issue that had every single match the won the MOTY award and for 15 straight years it was the WM main event. I'd take the PS award over PWI anyday.

They have the list on wikipedia (the most trusted name in wrestling so you know its got to be true) and no, WM main events did not win MOTY for 15 years in a row. However, from 2004 to 2010 the award always went to a Shawn Michaels match, and it was usually his WM match. now while Michaels is without a doubt one of the greatest performers of all time and possibly the greatest, there is no way in hell that Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon from WM22 was the best match in all of professional wrestling in 2006

While questionable, they're fan voted so I wouldn't expect a fringe company to be winning any major awards without a lot of buzz.

Remember the year the Steiner Brothers beat the Eliminators for tag team of the year by one vote? Actually, it was Harlem Heat who won by a vote, and that was in 1996. You're absolutely right, I stand corrected.
