WWE officials held a meeting last week following RAW concerning the recent ratings. Michael Cole’s commentary was discussed with regards to how fans have little interest in seeing anyone on TV besides the top Superstars. It was raised that Cole's burying of talent over the past year may have something to do with this issue.
It should be noted the directive to 'bury talent' on air would have been given by top WWE officials and Vince McMahon, so while the character of Cole may be to blame it is not the genuine Cole's fault.

Cole isn't responsible, but he, (or rather, his commentary,) isn't helping.
You can chalk that up to the continued bad writing from the E, since Cole is fed a lot of his lines.

I can't see anything on the site that has this report. Meltzer mentioned in one of the podcasts the other day that Cole's commentary was talked about internally, and that Cole was noticably toned down on this past Raw, but that's it.
Never realised until I started subscribing to one of the paid sites how full of shit most internet reports are, constantly making stuff up or taking things completely out of context.
