I started with I Saw the Devil (sick, yet awesome), went on to Retreat (the direction the movie took was delightful surprise) and ended it with Frozen (my personal favorite of the three).

I was going to watch Omega Man and The Horde, but instead went to watch Tintin which was excellent if completely non-halloween & non-horror.

I started to watch Let Me In but it was way too similar to the original so I gave up.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Nothing says Halloween, like gummy candy and a Tim Curry flick.

Didn't watch anything last night. But I tried to have a mini-horror movie marathon on Sunday but that didn't work.
Started with Zombi 2 but fell asleep halfway through, despite it being one of my favorite movies. Then I tried to watch Toxic Avenger 4 but wasn't feeling it so I ended the night with Nerdcore Rising, a documentary about MC Frontalot.

I watched: Scream 4 (Or Scre4m as it's listed on imdb..... How do you even say that? Screfourm). Not awful. But not good either. Just a middle of the road pointless horror sequel. Plus I guessed who the Ghostface was pretty early into the film. {Spoiler}Well one of them, there was two in the end. The one I guessed was Eric Robert's daughter, not Macaulay Culkin's brother. and to offset that I put on the classic: The Thing -The John Carpenter version. So great.

The Thing.
Perfect timing, my trick r treating went from 6-8, so did the movie. Very nice to chill out, watch the movie, and man the door.
Plus this was the first time I'd seen in on my new, way bigger, HD TV. And holy crap do some of the special effects look pretty.

Watched the '78 Dawn of the Dead with two of my friends. We've seen it so many times that for like the first 90 minutes it was just on in the background as we talked strategies for zombie outbreaks.
Twas a good night.

Now, in fairness, one day my gorgeous face is going to look as old as George Clooneys does. I cant think of anything scarier than that.

I started to watch Let Me In but it was way too similar to the original so I gave up. I thought it was a pretty good (if wholly unnecessary) adaptation. My wife has a hard time with subtitles, so when I gave her the choice of which one to watch we ended up with Let Me In. Watched It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, House on Haunted Hill (original, Vincent Price), Dreamworks Spooky Stories (2 Shrek, 1 Monsters vs Aliens Halloween deal), and Let Me In. Tried to watch Rubber, but frankly only made it about 10 minutes in. Interesting idea (homicidal tire with psychic powers) but it had a really weird breaking the fourth wall thing going on where there was an in-movie audience watching it on binoculars.

I watched Ginger Snaps on IFC. Awesome werewolf movie. The two main actresses were great and you could feel the bond between them which gives the downer ending more of an impact. Plus given my fondness for hot redheads I'm a huge Katharine Isabelle mark. Oh, the crappy horror/SyFy Channel movies I've watched just for her.

Friday IV followed by Halloween I and II. Pretty much my standard October 31st viewing trifecta. Ju-On (The Grudge 2) in my Japanese class. Finished up with It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Good night, I must say. Any and all Ju-On love is much appreciated by this guy. Ju-On: Grudge 2 is considered by a lot of fans to be the best movie in the whole series, and while it's not my #1, it's pure sliced awesome through and through. Love that killer wig! ;D
