Didn't even watch the Broncos today, and it looks like I didn't miss much. Orton sucked, Defense sucked, same old song and dance.

And the Giants steal one. I'm almost certain there'll be a lot of discussion about that Cruz "giving himself up" call.

Big Blue MOP should use this line next:
3-1: Air Eli

Pats didnt exactly win pretty, but had a balanced attack.
Thanks to Seymour for playing like a hot headed idiot early on.
Also: LOL at the Eagles. Methinks people crowned them too soon

Late to the party, but are the Lions officially for real yet? Possibly. But to win their division, they have to stop a team whose offense is putting up insanely gaudy numbers. Minnesota? Oh, you said gaudy, not God-awful.

-Tony Romo is not a franchise QB. Last week, the media couldn't get off this guy, slurping him to death for his toughness and leading his team to victory when all Dallas did was score field goals. Just shut up! Stop hyping this guy to be on par with Brady and Manning when he's not, he's a middle of the road QB who does more harm than good. When Jerry finally realizes this, the better off he'll be. - Been saying this for a while now. He's been horribly overrated and overhyped because of the team he plays for. Then he dated Jessica Simpson, so somehow *that* made people think he was somebody

Big Blue MOP should use this line next: 3-1: Air Eli I was all prepared to use 2-2 "We Suck Without Tuck, too." I think the play was dead as soon as he went to his knees, but they should've let the challenge go through just to determine that. But a win's a win. I just can't wait for the ESPN discussion of the "Glendale Screwjob."

Then he dated Jessica Simpson, so somehow *that* made people think he was somebody If you're the Dolphins or (before the draft) Bengals or Chiefs, you want a Tony Romo. He'll give you 3,500 yards and 25-30 TD on a good year. But if you have the talent to contend for the big one like Dallas does when they're healthy, you can't have him. You just can't. He's going to crap the bed every last single time. This really was amusing after the entire week on ESPN with everyone declaring him Ironman and a god among tough athletes. That was NEVER what people criticized him for. I don't know why that became the focus of conversation. What he did today? That's what he gets criticized for. A pair of pick-sixes and another one that handed the ball back to Detroit after that penalty filled mess.

BTW, the Air Eli line is something I use to refer when a QB is throwing the ball very well over a stretch of games through the air.
(Last year, I used the line Air Rivers for the Chargers at times)

A couple of things, I haven't watched or read all the stuff that's been happening: -Tony Romo is not a franchise QB. -Out of all the 3-1 and 4-0 teams left, Skins are the weakest. I've got no confidence in Grossman, AT ALL. A very frustrating win. -Nnandi is quickly becoming one of those dudes who got a rep for no real reason. From what I've seen, the guy can't tackle, and apparently he can't cover, at least in this scheme. -Minnesota has to bench McNabb at this point and let Ponder do his thing. 0-4 in the same division as Lions, Bears and Packers, there's no way that team is making the playoffs. I thought all the Romo love came after the 49ers game.

Can someone explain the controversy over the Giants/Cards game and how Arizona saw it?

Can someone explain the controversy over the Giants/Cards game and how Arizona saw it? Victor Cruz, after making the catch, fell to the turf and put the ball on the ground which was quickly scooped up by the Cardinals. After ruling down by contact, the refs then said the play couldn't be challenged because they interpreted Cruz as giving himself up (In other words, not attempting to gain further yardage), which couldn't be any further from the truth. The very next play, Eli fired a touchdown pass to Hakeem Nicks for the game-winner. Cards got screwed badly, all-in-all.

Okay, now I'm really pissed at this organization. Somebody asked Fox why he only played Tebow once, despite saying he was to have an expanded role today, his response? "We ran it once and lost yardage, therefore it didn't prove to be beneficial." Really? REALLY??So how about Orton playing like ass, and throwing the picks that I had to see on RedZone? When has playing Orton proved to be beneficial to anybody, except for the other team? Carolina fans were right, Fox is a hard-headed asshole who doesn't really care what the fans want. Putting in Tebow for one run (and I don't know how Green Bay knew it was going to be a run! ) is NOT what the fans meant by "play Tebow". People are tired of Orton, and when your offense sucks so much you have to have your defense on for 75% of the game - it's no wonder we got blown out. I hope they boo the ever-living shit out of Orton next week and make a change at the bye week. I didn't even watch the goddamn game and I'm pissed off at them, it's time to bench Orton. We tried the Orton experiment, and it didn't prove to be beneficial.

Tom Curran of Comcast SportsNet New England reports that Patriots WLB Jerod Mayo will be out for "awhile" after injuring the MCL in his left knee during the team's Week 4 win over the Raiders.
