For people who have the BLOPS, the "Escalation" map pack is online and available for downloading. I believe this pack is mostly for the "Call of the Dead" zombie map that looks AWESOME. It's also "Double XP" weekend. Not sure if "Nuketown 24/7" is available. Also great news, my brother's friend who recently bought inFAMOUS 2 decided to give me his beta code for the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta, since he hasn't played the series before, and he's aware that I play UC2 MP like a boss, so...yay me! ;D Oh yeah...THIS IS THE NEW PS THREAD! STOP POSTING IN THE OLD ONE!

So...on the store it has the dealie where you can buy the retro outfits for some MK characters, and the description says the outfits include old school fatalities for Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Reptile.
So I bought the outfits, but thus far....no fatalities were added. What the heck is up with this? Anyone else encounter it?

You have to know the button combination beforehand and do the Fatality first. Then it gets added to the move list.

Off hand I'm loving how much Vita as Vita stuff is coming out, the second it was announced people were rushing to their tablets it seems.

I just beat the game on the good side. Damn what a lot of fun. Once you unlock some powers, travel becomes so freaking much fun and intuitive. They learned so much from the first game and fixed most every negative, the only thing they didn't fix was the idiotic camera and some of the funny ledge grabs.
I have not had this much fun in an open world game in a very long time, nor a super hero game. It just felt good, and you felt powerful, but not too powerful.
Also, the ending for good side was just really well done. Good story too, I have seen so many reviews slamming it, saying it is too convoluted, but it is so damned simple that that is where I took issue with it.
Super fun, I give it an A and will start dark side very soon.

Subzero's is F D F Triangle, Scorpion is D U U Triangle, Reptile is B F D Block. Sub's is close, the other two are jump range. They're Sub's Spine Rip from MK1, Scorpion's Flame Skull from MK1 and Reptile's Head Devour from MK2.

My mom is in town. She surprised me by buying me a brand new PS3 to replace the one that recently died on me. YAY!
Got a good deal, too. Got the 160 GB Call of Duty: Black Ops bundle and the Killzone 3: Helghast Edition at no additional charge. Pretty sweet!
My PSN ID is in my sig. Go ahead and add me.

Toys R Us has psn and other points cards for 15% off, so I got a $50 for $42.50. Picked up Flower finally. I also got Outland, holy shit the demo was amazing. Mix Symphony of the Night with Ikaruga... Yeah, crazy cool.
Also, on the welcome back page is a free dynamic theme called Pixel Wonderland. Best damned theme I have seen. Get it, and live in the glory of the 80's!

I noticed my ID is missing from the first post list, could've sworn it used to be there. Anyway, Geneyuss2009.
By the way, having now played demos of both...am I the only one who likes MLB2K11 more than MLB 11; The Show? And I don't mean just by a little bit, but in a "No-brainer, way more fun, why the hell would anyone buy The Show?" way.
The last few years "The Show" series has scorned me something fierce. Two years ago it was "Pitcher's Duel; The Game" (had two straight 14 inning games...did I mention I set the innings to just 5) with sound glitches that would lock up the game (no patch ever fixed it, a second copy did no good, and Sony customer support actually thought I was making it up). Last years fixed some issues but hitting was still either insanely tough or insanely easy. I didn't even bother with this years, finally giving the MLB2K games a shot at Gamestop the other day for the first time since "ESPN MLB" on the PS2, and both me and my brother thought it was way better.

so my PS3 is doing the thing where it can't obtain my IP address (have re-entered all the stuff a couple times to no avail). Last time, like most times before, it fixed itself, but it is really annoying, especially since my other devices(computer, iPod) have no issue connecting to the web. And now, it seems like the downtimes are more frequent and without rhyme or reason(seriously, today it was working fine before I went to class. Then, after class, nothing). Anyone else have this problem? Last time I asked about this, my post got more-or-less no-sold

I have kind of a weird question. I just purchased Resident Evil 2 on the Playstation Store, but I can't seem to figure out how to play as Claire. Anyone know how to do that?
BTW, my PSN ID is Scottopia83. Just got my PS3 a few weeks ago, so my game collection isn't very stellar.

It's truly frustrating because as you said, other devices don't seem to have a problem. My Wii/iPod/laptop/DS/3DS and god knows what else never have the complications my PS3 does. I feel your pain. If you run on wi-fi, you have to go into your router settings (just google whatever router you have with "IP" after it). There are tutorials online showing you how to setup a static IP for your PS3, and how to adjust your router. You might want to look into 'port forwarding', too.

thanks man. And that's funny (not ha ha funny, but interesting) that you as well have noticed it happening after the PSN downtime, as this has happened to me a couple of times pre-outage over a two year span, but since the network has been back up, it's already happened twice.
