Which reminds me: we never did do that WWCF TVTropes thing, did we? No, we didn't... I have every trope for my own character on record though. At least, until now...

I don't think that title matches should always be 2/3 falls, though I do like the idea of the IF and FA titles being defended between PPVs. I'd also like to point out that the contract Vokoun still has allows him to challenge any of the future #1 contenders for their spot, on any given NiteRaw. Provided he lets them know a week in advance, that is. As for my match request, Blood's said in the promo thread that he wants that tag match to happen, but if it can't because Whitey's gotta face somebody for the TV title or because Whitey's hurt too bad to compete then he wants a match against ANYBODY, ANY type of match, he doesn't care. I just made a couple of additions to my profile. Thanks to Socko's Brother for the London Dungeon suggestion. Very welcome, M.

I have to agree with folks about the two out of three falls. While I can see the reasoning behind it I feel that it would really back writters into a corner with the matches and given how we're just starting to get into a rhythm I fear it would cause a bit more mayhem as well.
As far as the ppv, is it based around one animation company or could we have multiple ones? I mean, we could have it where each company sponsors certain wreslers perhaps or something?

The Tag Match can still happen. In fact, BRB will probably ensure it still happens, if Commissioner Viva doesn't. Ryan Blood just might not have a partner...
*Dr. Evil pinkie*
As far as "company" goes, it's going to be a "Roger Rabbit" deal, since we don't have to deal with pesky copyright laws (wouldn't the Walt Disney Corporation like that though).
And while I think there are some misconceptions about the 2/3 falls title matches idea, I'll just drop it.

Ha! I just imagined this turning into the skit from Monty Python where Whitey is saying "But I'm not dead yet!" and everyone is trying to take his spot.

And while I think there are some misconceptions about the 2/3 falls title matches idea, I'll just drop it. No, please don't drop it. Explain your logic. Because, honestly, I don't really get it either. You don't have bad ideas, really, ever. So I'd like for you to flesh this one out for us.

For what it's worth, I thing the one fall idea for big matches is far better, and I agree with Bergman's assertion, that if two guys have built themselves up then you can't go 2-0 without one guy coming out looking weak.
I'm also happy for Jono to have a rematch at some point of the booker's choosing.
In terms of the Animated PPV, I was thinking about how you'd write a match if things were deadly serious, as Blood and Castle's feud appears to be. I'm not really sure how you could do it without making both of us look a bit comical. I understand that could be the point, but I'm not sure how we could make it "epic" as it were?

Because, honestly, I don't really get it either. You don't have bad ideas, really, ever. So I'd like for you to flesh this one out for us. I'll cut to the chase and just say that the crux of the idea is to make title matches more decisive in kayfabe, whether we bring it about by 2/3 falls matches or otherwise. We currently have about 20 members on the roster, 4 titles, and 8 PPVs in a year. Everyone wants a piece of one of those pies at some point. So when someone loses a championship match, I believe it needs to count more so that things move on from challenger to challenger, champ to champ. Viva and I slowly implemented means of championship mobility. First was the creation of the TV Title, which allows a sufficiently retentive champion to move on to greater belts while providing a sort of "net" to catch people on a downward tend. Then we implemented the Title Shot Tag Match, which is our way of booking as many members as possible onto a PPV while scratching this e-fed's persistent itch for tag team wrestling even in the absence of a sufficient division as well as providing No. 1 Contender shots for the Inter-Forums, TV, and soon Freakin' Awesome Titles on Niteraw. Now we have eliminated rematch clauses and replaced them with No. 1 contender matches for the World Title. Rematches work when you have more PPVs, but more PPVs makes them individually less meaningful, especially when you get more than one shot. So I think that means title matches should be more final the fewer times they are contested. I for one am open to suggestions as to how that could be done.

To talk about a point that was brought up a few weeks ago, the hall of fame idea I thought was a great idea. We could respect the people who helped to build this and keep it going, entice them to return, teach the newer members the history and also show them good promo/ match writing styles.

So I think that means title matches should be more final the fewer times they are contested. I for one am open to suggestions as to how that could be done. I think that stipulations for a match is something that should come about organically. I think just assigning that to all title matches is extreme, however, I wouldn't be adverse to having a belt in which those were the rules. For example, the FAN Championship. I understand exactly what you're trying to do, and I like it. I think it's not our job as bookers to ensure that Championship matches have that big match feel. I believe that's on the writers, and if they drop the ball, we all suffer. Championship matches, whether we admit it or not, are our bread and butter. It's what we all wait for here. If someone's going to step up to the plate and write it, they should be at their most creative.
