Edit: But the 'interview' with the superman was really annoying and sad. Seemed like Colt was the high school bully egging on the slow kid. Really? I heard it as Colt trying his best to keep him talking and put him in a light that we all could relate to and enjoy him. Colt has a way to see the best in people and bring it out in their interviews. For all the new listeners, I HIGHLY suggest you listen to the Matt Cappotelli and PAC episodes. Just to hear someone firsthand go through discovering a brain tumor, as well as the ways PAC opens up about the indie scene, is some of Colt's most compelling work.

It was kind of impossible for him to not steer into that territory considering how Malcamania just kept repeating himself. I just think such a long chat was a bad idea. Colt tried make a human interest piece on a wacky character, but the subject was too shallow.
I'll give it a second listen, too, in case I missed something and to take a different angle.
On the bright side, at least Mr. 1859 wasn't there, again.

Especially Cappotelli's. The guy seems like a genuinely great dude. Colt even apologizes for using profanity at one point to him lol. I would also recommend the Briscoe's one. To see how these guys were brought up and how they became what they did is very interesting.

Just got back from the live recording with Marty Scurll and Brendon Burns... {Spoiler}So bloody funny. We were in the basement of a bar in Archway, North London, and a whole bunch of us were squashed in (there were even some girls) with Colt, Marty and Brendon. Marty talked about wrestling at Butlins with Daniel Bryan and Eddie Edwards, hanging out with Mason Ryan, and his reality TV appearance. Brendon (a comedian who's had DVDs and books out, and won big at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival) talked about heckling The Great Khali and other fun stuff. You'll love it when you hear it.
I won some prizes by correctly guessing that Colt's mum did the CM Punk promo. I won two of Brendon's DVDs, his book, and a copy of "$5 Wrestling: Tournament of Champions".

Just listened to the PAC episode. He sounds like a genuinely cool, humble dude. The MVP episode was awesome too, and might be my favorite so far.

My favorite episode(by far) is the one with the story about THE GREAT POWER UTI. I love that Great Power Uti is getting some love around the board now too, it was always one of my favorite parts from Foley's book. Domino's story about him is legit one of the most amazing stories I've ever heard. Picking and choosing based on the interviewee for which ones to listen to as I've only recently become a fan. Gotta say, of the half dozen or so episodes I've listened to not a single one has been dry or boring. Colt is amazing.

My favorite story on art of wrestling is still the one from the Zack Ryder episode with Zack's dad trying to turn Luke Gallows back into Festus by banging a spoon and pan to sound like a ring bell. I'm laughing just picturing that in my head.

My favorite episode(by far) is the one with the story about THE GREAT POWER UTI. Ditto. Love all of Colt's interviews (the first I listened to was Tommy Dreamer, which hooked me), but when Mr. 1859 goes off, it's just incredible.

I'm laughing just picturing that in my head. That one was great, too. Another episode that is full of great weirdness and little stories is the Colin Delaney one. Kind of incredible how he got that time in WWE, especially in a time when everyone on TV seems to be vetted so thoroughly.

My favourite episodes so far are Luke Gallows, PAC, Chris Masters and of course, Super Domino versus Power Uti.

I'm listening to the Steve Corino episode now. I feel bad about it, but his story about investing in airlines right before 9/11 nearly had me in tears. I also really loved Hero's story about the Scott Steiner videos. Those are probably the two funniest stories I've ever heard.
Seriously guys, I'm loving this podcast and I wish I had jumped on the bandwagon earlier. Listening to all these stories is really making me want to save all my money and get in shape for wrestling school.

Out of curiosity, what was everybody's first episode?
I started way back with the CM Punk one. I think after that I didn't listen for a few weeks, and then decided to check on it again, started listening (it was either Colin Delaney or Tyler Black, I can't remember), and was hooked from there.

Out of curiosity, what was everybody's first episode? I was in North Carolina, taking my shirt off twisting it around my hand and spinning it like a helicopter, last July when my flight back to NYC got delayed. I had run out of Formerly Creative podcasts to listen to, so at the airport I decided to give Art of Wrestling a shot with the Zach Ryder episode that had just gone up. Been hooked ever since. BTW - I'm halfway through the Colin Delaney episode, which I had put off listening to for some reason, and it's absolutely incredible. Shouts to everyone here who recommended it! Chalk it up to the must listen list!

I started with the Tyson Kidd episode because it was the most recent, then I went to the CM Punk one. Surprisingly, Punk's is my least favorite so far. He just didn't tell many interesting stories, probably because him and Colt talk all the time and it was a really early episode. My favorite so far is either MVP or Hero. Hero's was hilarious but MVP's just had some incredible stories. I'll be checking out Colin Delaney next.

I think the first one I listened to was the Jay Lethal episode, which I think was the first episode after Punk's big promo. I had been intending to listen for a long time, and I would always forget to check it out. I made sure to listen that day just to hear what Colt had to say about Punk and all that was going on. The Zack Ryder episode a few weeks later hooked me as far as wanting to listen every week.
