Sucks for Cole. I've pegged him as a WWE bound guy for a long time now.

If I'm these guys I'm making a call to ace attorney David Otunga to find a loophole out these pesky contracts that we signed and would no longer like to honor.

I thought ROH had a great relationship with the WWE. I'm sure the 'E could just buy out the contracts. Hell, WWE is taking all thier talent. What will ROH do? ECW ended up just like this. Look at where that left them.

Fine if they can find someone for them to feud with. Epico and Primo are the most exciting tag-team the WWE has had in a very long time. They have both found their niche and it's paying dividends. Exciting matches every week. They are quite good, same with The Usos. I think they've got 2 building blocks of a solid tag division.

Michael Cole and Adam Cole vs Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher at WM29.

Based on his movie star good looks alone, Adam Cole would probably do quite well in the 'E. Hopefully they manage to snag him up and make him a star soon.

If true, that's really messed up on ROH's part to block these guys from signing with the WWE. Obviously that's the goal of every single wrestler on the ROH wrestler, and ROH has to understand that, the same way ECW did. For them to prevent these three from making it to the top is only going to brew resentment and cause guys to reconsider signing ROH contracts in the future.
Did CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Kaval, Evan Bourne, Colt Cabana, Tyler Black or the Kings of Wrestling have ROH contracts when they signed? Did Gabe let them go, or were all those signings prior to ROH having talent sign contracts? How about TNA with AJ Styles, Austin Aries, Jay Lethal, Christopher Daniels, Homicide, Nigel McGuinness, Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley and I'm sure many others I'm forgetting? Are these contracts a relatively new thing in ROH?

Are these contracts a relatively new thing in ROH? Yeah, now that they're on 'broadcast TV' all the talent had to sign new contracts.

Are these contracts a relatively new thing in ROH? New. None of the guys you mentioned had one before. With ROH going "national" and being owned by a corporation, they have all the right in the world to protect their time and investment in talent. If they don't want to sign with ROH, they could have stayed indy like Cabana and Generico. Hell, Cole could have stayed with Gabe in DGUSA/Evolve and been free to go.

Before any other indy wrestler signs a contract they should ensure they have a clause that allows them to leave (if they want to) if WWE come calling with a 3 month notice period in order to write the character out of the shows etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the phrasing "blocked by ROH" is a way of saying "Cole and the Briscoes signed contracts that make them unable to sign with the WWE" in a way that makes ROH look like the bad guy in the story. I'd be happy for either Briscoes or Adam Cole if they got signed by the WWE but selfishly sad because I love them in ROH and fearful of guys I like going to WWE.
