I hate to say it but He really should retire after this WM. His Body can't handle it anymore.

The hell with the guys that are pulling their weight year round. When Taker's gone, that's one less guaranteed easy selling match to throw on the card. I can't see some fans paying $55 bucks for Mania to see a match involving guys that WWE didn't throw their weight behind in pushing to make us want to pay to see them. I mean, let's say Evan Bourne didn't get suspended and he and Kofi were still tag champs. Which match do you think is going to draw the bigger buyrate? Air Boom vs the Colons for the tag titles or Undertaker vs HHH Hell in a Cell? Hell, anyone on the card with Cena/Rock and HHH/Taker is a freaking idiot if they don't bring their A-game and prove to any casual fans dropping by that they have a reason to stick around and be a fan year round.

20-0 just seems like a nice round marketable number.

At times Taker has literally been booked as an incarnation of death itself. He'll always be a "legitimate threat" to anyone on the roster fer crissakes.
And everyone has been saying Taker is "broken down" for years, yet last year he ran the ropes faster than anyone else on the card and could still walk the ropes. Quit acting like he's as crippled and gimped as Khali. Where's all the concern for what Khali is doing to himself, eh? As of last year, Taker still has less obvious movement impariment syndromes/joint dysfunctions than lots of guys on the roster. Hell, Christian has scapular winging and will probably have a succession of shoulder injuries but no one is saying he needs to hang it up. Taker can keep going, maybe even to 25-0. Taker may even outlast Cena and Orton, given how banged up those two are.

Do you guys really want to see Cena v Taker?
Anyways, Sting v Taker = BOOK IT!
I wonder if they could get Sting and Taker to take up DDP yoga to help with recovery from all injuries? That could become a mandatory thing for everyone. Beats pills, booze etc.

Seriously, Cena and the Undertaker are two of the best workers WWE has (don't look at me like that, Cena can GO when he wants to) and I think at 'Mania they'd blow away basically any other match on the card. I mean, you have the #1 guy in the company taking on the Streak, the biggest accolade Wrestlemania has. Cena's overcome the odds before...can he overcome 20 matches and 19 lost souls' worth of opponents? Can he overcome the Deadman? I'd buy it.

I'd rather he retire at 20-0. Cena is already facing the bigger icon in The Rock, he doesn't need to face Undertaker next year. It'll prove nothing.

He definitely needs to do the match with Cena before he hangs it up for good, so, if this can get him there, I won't complain.

He should do DDP's Yoga, supposedly everyone has tremendous success with it, eliminating pain and nagging injuries. I know it's not magic, but if he had the surgery, and during his hiatus goes through it, he'd probably feel like a billion bucks.

The Rock is an icon, but Taker is his own category, not held back by being distinguished from a certain era. You just don't skip doing this match if its at all possible for Taker to do it. He's been kept away from Cena since Cena became the top guy, and its definitely a huge match. I mean, he really is the last guy people think COULD beat the streak. Imagine Taker in the STF in the middle of the ring. People would be shitting themselves waiting for Taker to get to the ropes or not.

Let's also not forget that the two have had great matches when Cena was still awkward and uncoordinated in the ring, I'd love to see what they can do now that Cena has improved.

If he's still able to go a few more years then he should. People keep talking about his body being broken down but none of us know how he is for sure.

"Please sir, may I have some more?" I'd like 2 more matches, both of which make sense. Taker vs. Cena at WM30, and make it appear as if the Devil is going back to Hell.
Then Kane, still on a rampage (please WWE don't f*** this up again), and once again World Heavyweight Champion starts hearing things during matches, leading to the final return of the Undertaker to take out his brother once and for all. Upon defeating Kane, the ref hands a still kneeling Undertaker the title, Taker does the summon pose, the lights go out. DONG! Only the title remains, neatly folded, with an ashy smear left beneath it on the mat.
(I know the second one infringes on a major title scene, but I beleive it is a proper sendoff to the end of the mystical era of wrestling; which really is a sad loss)

They need to get rid of him. He doesn't draw anymore. Nobody is buying WM that wouldn't buy it if it didn't have a Taker match. He's likely getting paid 7 figures for one match and pretty much nothing else. Not like he does promotional tours, media spots, etc....

He's probably hanging the boots with 22-0 at WM 30.

While I agree that he may be overpayed for one match a year, I can tell you that I definitely buy Wrestlemania JUST to see The Undertaker. The titles don't really matter anymore and there are no real dream matches left. The streak is the only thing in wrestling that seems to have any importance left. Let me put it this way: On paper, the main event last year was Cena vs Miz. Eleven months later, Cena squashes Miz clean on Raw in about 4 minutes. The Streak is the only thing left that seperates Wrestlemania from a throwaway show like Over the Limit.
